The Pacski Appreciation Thread

home.comcast.net/~osoono/ethnicdoughs/paczki/paczki.htm

To my joy and delight, my grocery store had pacski today in their bakery area, even though it is not Fat Tuesday yet. :)

The Detroit area has a huge number of Polish Americans, and the Polish pacski tradition has spread to all ethnic groups throughout the area. 8)

I love pacskis. :grinlove:

My favorite flavors are lemon, blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry. Myleast favorite are apple and prune, though I will still eat the apple ones if there is no other choice available. :)

I always have to be very careful to place my pacskis up high, though - one year I left them on a counter top and my dog ate the whole dozen! 8O Before that very unhappy incident, I had never known that dogs have a sweet tooth. 8O

The headline of the link contained two taboo words... "Fried" and "Dough"
They look yummy, and maybe in some future life I may be fortunate to be able to test drive one..... do they come in chocolate?

Alas, I have never seen a chocolate filled one; I have only seen various fruit fillings and custard... :(
