Gone gold? FINALLY!!

:nanaparty: TAMRIEL HERE I COME!!

Tomorrow I'm gonna pre-order this bugger. I've got 69$ store credit, so I'm basically getting the collector's edition free on the day it comes out. :bounce03:

What character will you guys be making first? I'm thinking I might make an orc that wields blunt weapons. I role-played an orc in Ultima Online for years. Or maybe I'll try magery for the first time ever? I usually never do good as a mage in RPGs. I'm always the rush-in-there-and-clobber type. Very smooth and lots of finesse. ;)

OH and did you guys see the GameSpot article? www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/theelderscrolls ... id=6144923

The level of customization for just your character's mouth--WOW.

I plan to play an Imperial (the race) Necromancer. Or an assassin (I love assassins).

I saw that article!

Sorry. no. that's her name, really. Sorry. heh. 8)

On Morrowind my character's usually fairly boring and unexceptional - sitting in the middle in terms of abilities, not commiting to any one type. I expect if I ever get Oblivion it will be the same.

Yeah, my old one about the orc's name. Thought my comment about Oblivion coming so soon was more important. I'm crazy like that. :D

Speaking of craziness: I definitely plan on playing a murderous rogue. Perhaps I will steal horses, use my acrobatics to leap over houses, or just the plain-vanilla rape and pillage? Hmm. Damn, I love open-ended games (and linear ones that give you the illusion of a persistent world).

Download the Trees of Pangaea demo

www.speedtree.com/html/pangaea_main.htm

It allows you to experience the Oblivion forest engine program first person. It's incredible.

Played it for like three hours and about to play another hour. Got an orc with archery/stealth/blunt weapons/light armor. The scope of the game is so huge that I was at a loss at where to go first. Thank God for those compass directions!

And the graphics--my personal favorite, of the 3D genre. Half-Life 2 has been dethroned, in my book. Well, I'm off to kill more fiends with Gub-Jub.
