Agreed, but (to put it to my generation) as much as I loved Led Zeppelin, I really enjoyed The Firm and Percy's solo stuff.

I completely ruined a "sure thing" the night I found out Stevie Ray had died.

The man was a master. I saw him in ('85?) with The Fabulous T-Birds. The encore was Stevie jamming away on a double-neck. About 10 minutes into it, Jimmie Lee walked up, put his arms around his brother, and played the top neck on the guitar. Utterly amazing.

Gotta wonder what Chopin, Schubert, Mozart, Bizet, Mendelssohn, Gershwin, and (a fav of mine) Purcell would have done if they hadn't all died in their 30's.

They would have formed a supergroup but their would be few hits, as they would implode after the 2nd release.....too many egos!
