I came across a band on LimeWire, the Hayseed Dixies. Ya'll may have heard of them.
They made bluegreass covers of AC/DC, Ted Nugent, Floyd, Queen and a couple of others.
After hearing them the first time, I couldn't get over the novelty of it...but after the first or second listen, the shock / entertainment value quickly diminished.
Having DLR do his own songs though, that would keep my attention, having them remade by the original artist.

Yeah, DLR became a certified paramedic a few years ago. I agree Jelerak, the novelty stuff wears thin after a while, though I do love me some Richard Cheese. That has yet to get old for me.

Theres a "big band/swing" cover of Enter Sandman from a bunch called New Morty Show. It's pretty bad but I keep it in my IPOD since it always makes me laugh. They did the same thing with Rebel Yell.

That's sort of what Richard Cheese is. It's Vegas lounge music. The guy does mostly new stuff, but there's a great cover of Hot For Teacher with Eddie's guitar intro done on piano.

Just stumbled across this thread....for those that care there is a bluegrass version of Pink Floyd's The Wall by Lester Wright and the Wrongs...hilarious and good musicianship. Don't know if this is the same thing that sarge was talking about or not.
And if you're gonna bring up the Milkmen....one also must check out King Missile. Both hilarious bands. I still can't talk to anyone named Stuart without a smile on my face..
