And I don't really celebrate something I don;t believe in.

hhhhmmm....first I'm thinking about me celebrating Thanksgiving in another country, then I think about people from another country celebrating Thanksgiving....."wild, wacky stuff!"
actually, when I was a young lad, my mother was assisting some Polish immigrants get established, and we celebrated TG Poland style at their house. I absolutely have always despised keilbasa, and sauerkraut, and except for the warm wishes for a new better day for these people, I resented them for ruining my dinner....

HLT: i'm just glad the holiday Catholics make it at some point. since i have trouble memorizing the creed i bear the unregulars a bit better than others. Julie smacks me when I sing the choir leaders parts during the mass though. 
i have to schedule confessions one on one (i work Thu & Sat) so i don't go but maybe twice a year, and only if i remember. 
when it snowed two years ago, there were only a bit over 100 for midnight mass, so that was a pleasant experience, so maybe the crowds do bother a bit. i do enjoy my monday masses quite a bit. (i do adoration right after the mass)
try this recipe for sauerkraut.
olive in a big frying pan. get up to heat.
drain sauerkraut really good, rinse if necessary.
add kraut to pan.
add canned or fresh (chopped) apples when kraut is at good temp.
add cinnamon to season.
serve.
