How do you feel today?
Moderator: Orlion
I'm really down. I no longer know how to make everyone happy...not that I ever did to begin with but I tried. I feel so run down at the moment, my body is in rebellion. I feel like I'm doing so many things for other people that I've left no time for myself. And I don't know what my motivations for doing these things are anymore. I keep saying to myself "why is it so important" and I think I know the answer...but I hate the answer...so I kid myself, I pretend I'm doing these things for the "right" reasons. Somehow I don't think I am.

You're supposed to make everyone happy?
Wait, is that what everyone else is trying to do too?
You all suck at it then.

Then you people got a different "Manual for Life" than me it seems.
I try to keep my wife and kids happy, the rest of my family informed, I tolerate my friends and everyone else can just plain screw-off.
Spoiler
(I just wanted to use "screw-off" in a sentence, I'm not that bad)
Just trying to make you laugh Seareach, I have no idea what your situation is.
But obviously embracing this "Linden love" crap has gotten you no where.
You know where to go for help.

I just read almost 30 pages of this thread. *buzzing head* To address a few things that leap to mind:
Foul, I'll miss you when you're gone, but the European trip sounds great. I'm glad to hear of all your accomplishments.
Loremaster, I'm so relieved your doctor has found a way to get the seizures under control. My first husband's epilepsy disappeared when he went on dilantin -- now I see how lucky he was! I'm impressed you could keep writing through all that.
Seareach, it sounds like you have made an important discovery. Build on it.
Duchess, you deserve to feel good.
I feel nervous about seeing my surgeon today. I dearly hope he will keep me off work for another week. Well, yes, I'm a little bored now that all my new projects are up and running, but it's better than constantly running hard to stay in the same place at work.

Thanks, Joy! I'll try to finish up my fourth short story and send it along to you. I've had it down to the last chapter for the longest time, but finals and reports have been swamping me. In any case, I'll have the story off to you before I leave. Your insights have been invaluable!Dragonlily wrote:Foul, I'll miss you when you're gone, but the European trip sounds great. And Lore: like Joy, I just gotta say I admire your work ethic as a writer. I have no idea how I'd handle a serious problem like that, let alone maintain my writing career.

Well right now it's against the law for me to go to work as long as I have this "pink-eye" (conjuctivitis) so I am on indefinate leave. I really hope it clears up by Tuesday as that's when my sick pay runs out. I'm on 2 types of eyedrops and 1 type of oral medication. So be warned! I get to terrorize y'all on a continual basis for about a week--I think, I hope.

fall far and well Pilots!
