So, what do you play?

Post by dANdeLION »

I'm interested in seeing who plays what, and what type of gear we use, because it's possible that we could do the musical version of an Anthology (this is Luci's idea, actually, but I'm starting it out here, because she apparently didn't want to?) here, assuming we have all the necessary instrumentation. I play bass mainly, though I do have a few guitars, and a lap steel. My 2 basses are Jazz bass types, my 2 guitars are a Strat and an M-75, and my lap steel is a '54 Supro, I think. I have a few Ampegs and a Mesa amp. I don't know if Tom put cakewalk or sonor or whatever on my pc, but I'm sure it's available to me.

I've got too many guitars.

My two main guitars are a blonde '77 Les Paul Custom and a red mid '80s Charvel Model 4 with a Floyd Rose. They get played through an ancient RP-10 into an even older Fender amp with a solid-state clean channel and a tubed lead channel. I use Ernie Ball .10s and heavy picks.

In addition, I have a black Model 4 with a Schaler (can't stand it, need to unload it on Ebay), and 6 and 12 string Charvel acoustics.

At one time, I was pretty good. I don't play nearly enough anymore.

$300 Keyboard, guitar missing one string, bongo, and harmonica. I used to have a 1980s Casio keyboard but passed that on to a friend.

As you can tell I play bass and electric.......I also got this custom acoustic and electric made by Jaxe's Axes (nice place if you live in maine). Getting a drum set (learning to play) and i am starting to play the Trumpet.

I have a double fat telecaster, a harmony jazz bass that dANdeLION got for me since its pretty pitiful for me to not own some kind of bass. I have everything I need to write and record my own original music and do so on every occasion that presents itself.
I've posted a thread concerning a KW music Anthology to directly address the idea.

Sorry, we already have a bassist. So, how long have you been playing? Which one of those instruments do you feel you're best at? It seems you spent the most on your acoustic.....

Let's see...

BC Rich Warlock is my electric.

Peavey T-40 is my bass.

Yamaha 6 string my classical.

Martin 12 string my absolute favorite.

An old Harmony 6 string just cuz I can't seem to let it go.

And I do write both lyrics and music.

Thanks buddy (and you know what they say about addressing someone as "buddy") obtw...bite me, hard! :P I'm a damm good musician and was only trying to help. 1st of all I play the harp damm hard so a little JD is needed to stop my lips from tearing apart. 2nd I can be a very good singer, once I lose my inhibitions. :P :P :P 8) 8) 8)

Please, retain your inhibitions until I can leave the galaxy. You know, it's nice hearing that you guys play, but I guess what I'm gonna need are some demo tapes or something, so that I can hear how good you are.

My true skill is breaking things, but sometimes I can break a guitar, too.
