Gildenfire fun
I'm going to be re-re-reading the First Chrons sometime in 2006, and I was wondering at what point in Illearth War should I put that book down and begin reading Gildenfire? Where does it fit in the sequence--or where did SRD intend for it to fit? Ideas/suggestions/violent outbreaks welcome!

agrred, after Koriks mission leaves revelstone. personally i read the entire 1st chrons before reading GF and i dont think it matters much when you read it. i dont think its a particularly relevant book and i was dissapointed with the (lack) ammount of insight it gives into the haruchai. IMHO.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.
I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

maybe i should read it again(its been about 4 years). i just recall being really disappointed after hearing about a book that was completely given over to the harruchai being soooo small and measley. i do remember stuff about their training which was quite interesting. i still cant see that it had that much relevance to the story though.

After I regained consciousness, I searched for my Dissection of GF. If you're interested in a slightly more enthusiastic opinion...tazzyjoe wrote:agrred, after Koriks mission leaves revelstone. personally i read the entire 1st chrons before reading GF and i dont think it matters much when you read it. i dont think its a particularly relevant book and i was dissapointed with the (lack) ammount of insight it gives into the haruchai. Remember--it's a treat that we have any and all of G-F as it is. It was cut out of the book and, pretty much, thrown away before the small, measley unauthorized chapter was, somewhat, illegally revived even before it got to Daughters of Regals. Remember that it is only a chapter, prehaps only an exerpt--and, probably, not a fully realized one at that...TJ wrote:...just recall being really disappointed after hearing about a book that was completely given over to the harruchai being soooo small and measley.
fall far and well Pilots!
A short story in 'Daughter of Regals' By SRD A chapter that was 'deleted' from the IllEarth War detailing the hauchia mission to seareach.
The POV is Korik but having someone with nio contact to the real world undermines TC unbelief..

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
