Make sure you wear incontinence pads! :haha:
Had an absolute blast! My favourite comedian ("Raymond J Bartholemew") acted as a "warm-up" guy. He was hilarious. The skits were quite good and we had great seats! Even got to see some of the cast from Neighbours (not that I'm a HUGE Neighbours fan...but...hey - !) All-in-all a great afternoon.

And, Duchess, I'm hitting the bookshops tomorrow (today I bought clothes...first time in about two years I've bought something new).

Happy happy Seareach!

There's a theory he's the leader singer of my favourite Australian band, TISM. I saw a concert (on video) and he turned up strangely when the leader singer went off stage. And when he left a minute later the singer came back.

He's a great comedian.

Tism! Gosh! Haven't heard of them for AGES! He was actually off for a "gig" tonight somewhere but didn't say it was comedy. Would be interesting to see if TISM was playing in Melbourne tonight!

I actually had a great chat with him (will tell you about it some other time Lore). I was chuffed!

I'll have to check TISM's current tour.

For anyone at the watch interested:

Well, he got my sister up to say "hi" to everyone and then he asked if we were twins (which we are) *and* then said to me "but you'd be the older one...by about 3 years". I was NOT amused (even though I was!).

Had a rough week at work, so I'm pretty worn out. But I did run to a nearby garden center today and bought three blueberry bushes and two blackberry vines to add to my garden. :) I'll plant those and some lillies tomorrow. :)

It's Cinco de Mayo, so tonight we're having a huge Mexican dinner. Tomorrow is Kentucky Derby Day so we'll be having a huge downhome dinner (my parents were both from West Virginia and my husband has some pretty deep Kentucky roots on his dad's side of the family). :)

When I have a bit more energy, maybe I will add a gardening thread in the food forum. :) Unless Sunbaneglasses or another gardener beats me to it. 8)

Great, Went paintballing today.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Wow! Everybody's having a good day! Or if they're not, they haven't said anything... Hope everybody who hasn't posted is having a good one, too. :D

I am having a great day! Just salvaged my grad school class and going back to work Monday. Then in two weeks the semester is over!!! (Praise Jah!)--missed 3 days pay, but what can you do? Playing basketball, getting in shape, the transition for the boys to go back to their birthparents is going very smoothly. It's very tough but we're doing real well with it. Tam hiked 6 miles at the Grand Canyon last week and saved a dehydrated hiker who fell and cracked her head on a rock. Nurses Rule! Poor thing also had to shop in Scottsdale and spend the night in Sedona too. She raised $3250 for the Lymphoma/Luekemia Foundation and hiked with 60 people from around the country. We should be getting a baby girl for real possible adoption in about a week. She's Daisy (who's name would become Aloara Grace if we can adopt), 1 and 1/2 and looks like a little Sandra Bullock-Dad is massively in love! :D

And if you want to know how I'm really feeling go to the Good Morning thread and check out the pic that altered the thread margins... 8) 8) 8)

It's a great day outside, and I'm going to enjoy the evening at the White Sox game.

It was so pretty today I nearly went to the garden center to buy some tomato and pepper plants for my garden. Now I am really glad I didn't - we're getting frost again tonight! 8O :o

Went to my younger son's soccer game this afternoon. He took a very hard shot with the ball right to a place a guy never wants to take a shot. 8O Poor kid shrieked, grabbed himself, and went straight down to his knees. 8O He's OK now though. :)

Surprisingly good.

Only got about 3 hours sleep last night - but I'm not tired.

Funny how that works, as I am tired after 7 hours...
