Dulles or BWI? I'm within easy driving of either.

Er, wait, weren't you gonna be landing at Dulles at 4 pm on the 23rd anyway? 'Cause that's what it already says on my calendar...

Strange, I got an email from United saying my itinerary had changed, yet it's identical to my original. Oh well. It's Dulles.

hey folks...we're still looking for a place to meet on friday night, right?

Recluce suggested Clarendon Grill in Arlington...

here's a link to the band that's playing there on the Friday night...

www.lrsband.com/about.html

they are a rock cover band

and here's the link to Clarendon Grill

www.cgrill.com/

this looks good to me unless...

a) it's too far away for Cail or Alynna or Jay or anyone else

and

b) we want to go someplace that's quieter

any other suggestions for places to go friday night Alynna, jay, Lorelei, Aliantha?

Loud doesn't bother me one little bit. That paticular bar is real close to a Metro station and it's on the same colered line I'd get on from New Carrollton, so that's a definite bonus.

But to be perfectly honest, I really don't care where we end up. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all and having a few adult beverages. I can do that anywhere.

I humbly defer to the locals.

Clarendon Grill should be fine. If the band turns out to be awful, we can ignore 'em. :)

Alright, aliantha, I guess we're gonna have to flip for it. ;)

LOL, I'd be more than happy to pick you up, dlb. Like I said, Dulles is an easy enough drive for me, and I took that day off months ago in case people needed rides. That's why your flight was on my calendar.

Hope you're not allergic to horses, though, 'cause all my tack and saddle pads are crammed in the back of the cab for easy access. And, um, they smell.

:D Might do that, depending on how the day goes. Still have to go do barn work in the a.m., but I might could park the truck somwhere on the Orange line and take the metro back over to DC. Man, I can't wait until they get that Dulles metro extension in place... I'll let you know if I can make it.

BTW, check this out. Scroll down to about the middle of the page. The National Capital Barbecue Battle, DC Caribbean Carnival and Washington, DC International Wine Festival are all the 24th and 25th. I think we've got plenty of options. dc.about.com/od/monthlyeventcalendars/a/JuneFestivals.htm

Our weekend in DC is fast approaching! It would be nice if we could all get together sometime soon to talk in real time and hammer out some details about our agenda. I suggest we try to pick an evening when we can all meet on MSN.

Um. I have IM but not MSN. (Yes, I'm pathetic.) I'm usually on all day at work (unless the server kicks me off...).

Alynna, I'm soooo glad that you can do airport runs on that Friday. I was hoping to take that day off, but my youngest kid keeps thinking up new reasons to go to the dr., so all my leave is now officially gone, grrrrrr....

Ok, just talked to the Ps - it's all a go! I'm landing at LaGuardia at 3:15 the 22nd, then renting a car out of Ardsley NY first thing in the morning on the 23rd. Since I grew up in Jersey and went to college in Chestertown MD I'm pretty familiar with the freeways, area and DC. If no one can put me up I'll book a motel room nearby...but I do need the itinerary and more percise directions.

My problem is that I have this weird comp qlitch I haven't been able to fix that knocks out MS Window links-so I can't get on ChatBane. I'll try to set up my old MSN IM again, but have doubts that it can work. So, somebody, please PM me and help me coordinate. Cail your drinking bud's on the way! And if y'all don't want me to come I can save a bunch of $ and take in a Mets game instead... :P
