Lately been listening a lot to Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto ("Emperor"), played by the late Claudio Arrau w/ Colin Davis & Dresden State Orchestra. Hadn't heard this CD in a long time. Glad I found another copy at last! The piano concerto wasn't a format I warmed to until I heard this recording of the Emperor concerto. Prior to this, piano concertos had mostly bored me. But the "Emperor" made me listen. It took good ol' Ludwig to save the day, re-affirming my conviction that he was the greatest composer of them all.

Heart: The Essential Collection.

I first came to know and love Heart through their huge '80s rock songs. Now I'm finally easing my way into their earlier material...and wow, it rocks just as hard! Really getting a kick out of their live rendition of Led Zep's Rock 'n' Roll.
