The Doyen of Aussie Country Music Has Left Us

Post by Landwaster »

:(

Slim Dusty has passed on, ladies and gents.

Reknowned for "Duncan", "Pub With No Beer" and more recently "G'day G'day", Slim finally lost his battle with cancer, aged 74.

He released 100+ albums in a 64 year career!
RIP

WOW! That's a lot of albums!!

And coming this soon after Johnny Cash. Not a good time for Country music. :(
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

Just read today he was working on his 107th album when he got crook.

Yeah Johnny Cash's passing was also a shock for me ...

Certainly makes you think about our attachment with life and reticence about taking the journey.
