Ooh, tonight should be Bad Wolf, then I guess on US SciFi Channel? So far, I've only noticed a couple cryptic mentionings of "Bad Wolf". Since this episode is titled "Bad Wolf" are we going to get some meat to this storyline in this episode (No Spoilers please) or did I miss noticing some meat we've already gotten on it?

Anyone know if we get the Christmas Special the week after ep 13 or when US SciFi Channel might show it and Season 2?

Do those of you who disliked David Tennant's Dr like him better now that you've got more episodes under your belt?

As I am at the main forum, I get to read how the fans feel. Most believe that he is a better doctor than Eccleston, however that may be hype. I recall when McCoy was the doctor there were many fans, including myself, who believed he was better than Tom Baker at the time.

America will see the Christmas Special at the start of season 2.

As for the Bad Wolf explanation - I think it's pretty dan unimpressive. HOWEVER, the episode Bad Wolf ends with an amazing revelation.

I ordered a 12 inch remote-controlled Dalek today. It's the model from the new series and it has lights, speech and moves. The central section rotates around just like in the series, as well. Expensive, but I can afford it easily.

Really. People liked Sylvester McCoy better than Tom Baker (Not Colin Baker, but Tom?). I liked Sylvester McCoy well enough, but, to prefer Sylvester McCoy over Tom Baker, that's just amazing to hear.

It's because of the last season - 26. The stories were great and many believed it was the sign of a new golden age of Doctor Who.

I'm sure I have a long way to go before I see that scene in context, but watching it alone sure is funny!

LOL Loremaster, looks like a Scooby Doo episode.

I understand about the tail end of Sylvester McCoy, I was shocked to find out it had gone out of Production. The last ones I remember are the Cat People one and the War one, with I believe Ace babysitting her mother as a baby, or something like that?

The Cat people one was Survival - which was a good story! As for the War one, and Ace babysitting her mother - that was The Curse of Fenric, and may indeed be in the top five Doctor Who stories of all time.

<--- has never seen any Sylvester McCoy episodes.

Do the references to the demise of the Time Lords in the Eccelston series have anything to do with The Curse of Fenric storyline, since you say it a War themed episode?

Please keep in mind, I've still only seen the first three episodes of Eccleston as I don't have a way of recording t.v. shows, and I go to services Friday nights when SciFi shows the series. :::sigh:::

Menolly, I don't remember the Curse of Fenric much, only seen it once myself years ago, but, it was like a WW2 war episode, so, no obvious connections to the Time War.

About SciFi Friday, you realize they show the episodes twice, right? So, in my case it's on at 9pm, and then again at 11 or midnight. I generally tape them myself as I'm generally busy (or tipsy and distracted, LOL) on Friday nights, so I take a 6 hour VHS tape, and pop it into the VCR before I go anywhere (Or if I stay home, before I lose track of time)

Also SciFi shows them again on Sunday nights... I think at 10 central.

They do? That I didn't know!

I'm usually ready to crawl into bed myself by the time we get home from services and Shabbes dinner (where those of us over 21 can have free vodka), so I don't watch the midnight showing either. But Sunday nights at 11:00 PM I culd swing, as that would be pretty much right after ICA on the Food Network.

The demise of the Time Lords began with Genesis of the Daleks when they sent the Doctor to destroy the Daleks before they were created. The Daleks, realising someone had tried to 'abort' their existence, retaliated. However, what annihilated the Time Lords - a massive battle around Gallifrey - their homeworld - was never shown.

Okay, I watched the Christmas Invasion two nights ago. I didn't mind the story (it had some flaws), and the Sycorax were very good. And, I like Tennant as the Doctor.

Has the new series began over there? Doctor Who has just finished here and will be back at Christmas.
