Internet/watch talk

Both, If ever you go onto a Teamspeak Server ( a basic server that lets you talk via microphones ) there are some people that actually speak like this.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

I've never done that, but I was disgusted and appalled when I discovered a person who, when conversing in person, face to face, actually says "lol" instead of laughing. One a friend of mine keeps saying on msn is "lolocaust" when he thinks something is hilarious.
Found this comic that mentions this. BA stands for Burning Adrenaline, an attack in World of Warcraft that makes the player explode and kill anyone nearby. You have to run away as soon as you get it on you!Nav wrote:wwwadddssssss - I have unwittingly entered chat mode and am currently trying, unsuccessfully, to maneuver around a group of enemies.
I must confess to having accidentally used 'lol' in conversation on more than on occasion. Like the acronym itself, it's actually handy to signify that something is kind of funny, but not worth an actual laugh. I'm prone to this sort of thing unfortunately, back when I was a lifeguard, I used to routinely end sentences with 'over', whether I was talking on the radio or not.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

I know OMG means Oh My God.
But I've also seen ZOMG used in the same context and I have NFI what the Z stands for. No Idea at all. Any suggestions?
nb A friend of mine put NFI as an answer on a Geography exam once and the lecturer exasperatedly mentioned it when telling the class how poorly the class as a whole had performed.

Found these T-shirts on www.thinkgeek.com, they take a net acronym and make it look inoffensive to the untrained eye:

I also found out a new internet acronym last week and it's a nasty one: DIAF = Die in a fire
