Well, so much for Ghana. They're up against Brazil on Tuesday, and I don't think they stand a chance. Glad to see England get into the QFs, though.

Brazil's going to destroy Ghana.

So, has anyone won it yet?
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

If England beat Portugal, chances are they will face Brazil in the Semi's... If we can win that one somehow then we have a REAL shot at the world cup.

The Portugal - Holland game got rediculous with cards. Spoiled it.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Italy are through to the next round, beating Australia. Was it a penalty... no no no no no.
Ukraine beat Switzerland on penalties. Most boring game so far... I thought it would never end.

What a rip off. We played better than them for a lot of the game, but didn't capitalise on our oppurtunities.

And that penalty should not have been counted. :(

Anyone else have any? Just watching the Brazil game. Brazil were bad but still won. I have to watch the game with no sound becuase after awhile the commentary get so annoying. They make out that Brazil are so perfect. I have gathered they are good but Ghana played beter today. It is just little things like when Ronaldinho stepped on someone. The Commentary went on about 'how Ronaldinho would never hurt someone' 'he is too skilful for that'. I watched the replay and Ronaldinho knew exactly what he was doing, he went in for him not the ball. The Commentary don't do it for any other game, just Brazil. It is so annoying.

True words, Queeaqueg. Thankfully the commentator over here is Australia, so he kept the bias to a minimum when we played Brazil. :P

(At some point I think he said, after a dubious call went Brazil's way, "Sorry folks, but that call is bullshit!")

Time for the next round now. France beat Spain 3-1 which was one of the best games I have seen. Next round ties:
Germany V Argentina
England V Portugal
Italy V Ukraine
Brazil V France

I don't think England will beat Portugal, we always seem to lose against them. I think the score will be 2-1 :(
This is who I think will go through: Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Argentina.
This is who I would like to go through: England, France, Ukraine, Argentina.

Well you are always negative about everything (and not just football related). You thought England were going to lose to Ecuador.... WHAT? Yes it was possible but still quite unlikely.

I personally feel that England has a superior side to portugal, and the match will probably go in England's favour.

As for the winner... I think it's likely to be Brazil... followed equally by Germany and Argentina (whoever wins out of their match), and then after that England.

However, if we play and beat Brazil... then depending on who we play in the final, I think we'd have no less than a 50% chance of winning.

I reckon we'll beat Portugal as well. Queeaqueg seems unable to have any faith whatsoever in our team, for some reason. Portugal's performance against the Netherlands wasn't particularly impressive, and I understand they'll be missing several important players for the match with England. (Is Ronaldo able to play?)

We haven't beaten Protugal in awhile now. England are a mess, I would very surprised in England win. C Ronaldo is fi to play, Deco and Costinha are suspended. Figo is cleared to play after not being done for that headbutt on Van Bommel.
Neville is back for England. England now have a fully fit squad(Not including Owen).

You are wrong. England has one of the best squads it has had for a LONG time.
