Come on, DLB....give us a bit more to go on; what type of program do you use to view the pix in?

sorry to double post but dlb...make a photobucket account

photobucket.com/

host the photos there, there is a resizing feature that's really really easy to use, has it already set up to edit to 25, 50, or 100 %....

should work then...use urls to paste photos or upload them to the album

it works for me anyway.

Did you try shrinking them in Paint Shop, and then saving them as JPEGs? That should take care of both the physical and kb size issues. Might mean that they are 5x7 or smaller, though.

well...now that i'm home i'll give ya'll the last installment of Luci Goes to Washington...

sunday...Romeo's pad...and what a pad it is!! just a GORGEOUS home. the detail is fabulous and Romeo is the most wonderful host!
the painting of the Runes cover that mrs. romeo gave romeo for his 40th birthday....nothing to be said but WOW. i could have stared and stared at it. Romeo's bookcases were filled with fabulous books, leather bound many of them, and behind glass cases (a true collector)!!

we were all awestricken to one degree or another by one thing and another in that room.
Spoiler
and then the secret stuff i can't tell you

and then we all had refreshments.

and then we all went our separate ways (as described by dlb elsewhere in this thread) and Creator and I went to pick up Recluce and the three of us went to the Silver Diner for supper! it was fabulous!!! i had a giant burger and peach cobbler but they used biscuit crust instead of short crust on the cobbler and that was just incorrect. i ate all the peaches out of it. heh. you should see the size of the JUNIOR banana splits at the Silver Diner!!! phew!!! tasty!

Creator had to be home in time to meet his wife and daughter coming in from North Carolina where daughter is going to school in the fall (he spent the weekend bemoaning the fact that the little princess is leaving the nest! hee. poor daddy)

on monday i awoke and made ready to leave the DC area. got to the airport on time even tho the super shuttle was 20 minutes late. the traffic in DC was horrendous. little did i know at that point, that the rains had inundated the area and roads were closing left and right. it took us 50 minutes to get to Dulles.

Dulles. what can i say. *shakes head* there must have been 300 people in the check in line and 500 in the security line. it was 10:30 when i got into the check in line. my flight was scheduled to leave at 12:41 pm and it was 12:15 when i got to my gate! yikes. what's up with those slow as christmas shuttles to the stupid terminals??? for cryin out loud.
turns out there were so many people at the airport because so many flights had been cancelled on sunday night.
no worries. i got on my plane and we taxied out to the runway...and sat...and sat....and sat. the captain came on the intercom and said we'd been asked by air traffic control to wait for a break in the weather. that was at 1 pm. at 1:15 pm the captain smelled smoke in the cockpit. by 2 pm we had gone BACK to the gate and deplaned to allow maintenence to check it out. *sigh*
at 3 they came on and said they'd tell us something at 4.
at 4 they came on and said they'd tell us something soon.
at 4:10 the flight was cancelled. arg.

ok. so. i wasn't sure what to do. this had never happened to me before.
i wasn't feeling very well and hadn't had anything to eat. i was a bit weepy! (heh) i waited in line for 40 minutes just to be told i could be confirmed on a flight leaving Dulles for SF at NINE THIRTY PM ON TUESDAY NIGHT!!! crimeny. that was the EARLIEST flight that wasn't sold out!!
i asked for a hotel room. no. i asked for a taxi cab. no. i asked if i was supposed to sleep on the airport floor. yep. the woman was a turd.
oh, and my LUGGAGE had gotten transferred to the 4:20 flight. MY LUGGAGE WAS ON THE WAY HOME. that really hurt.

so i called Recluce! she was getting her hair cut but she agreed to rescue me!! yay!!!! |G

she picked me up at 7:30 pm...the rain was POURING...the roads were hazardous, but she came and got me anyway!!! we went to her place and then to Hard Times this very cool restaurant that served chili! 5 way Cinncinati chili!!! wooo hooo!! a huge plate of it!!! (well, i just had 3 way, spagetti, chili, and cheese) i had to ask for TWO side orders of grated cheddar just to have the proper amount of cheese on it tho. (what the hell do they know about cinncinati chili in virgina, after all! heh)

we then went back to her house and changed into jammies (old navy boxers and tank tops) and promptly got online! she played Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction...and let me tell you, her characters are AWESOME!!!

oh...also...she has a cat...Jaeger! (german for hunter) he is a Tonkanese with a mohawk. that's right, MOHAWK! he is the coolest kitty!
he plays fetch with QTIPS!!! it's the funniest thing you've ever seen! he is the most lovable cat! we crashed late and got up early and Recluce dropped me at Dulles around nine a.m. where i hung out most of the day.
i got on the wait list for the 12:41 flight but didn't get on it. then i got on the wait list for the 3:00 flight and DID get on!!!yay!!!!
of course the weather was STILL horrible and so we didn't get off the ground until FIVE O'CLOCK!!! arg,
still, i made it into SF by 7:00 pm PST and was home in my own little pad with my kitties and my mate and by about 9:00 pm i was konked out!

i've taken the film to the developers and will pick it up in another 2 hours and will post picks as soon as possible!!!

i gotta tell you folks that didn't go.
this was an awesome trip, even with "getting the vapors" and my flight getting cancelled. it was great! i can't wait until the next get together!!!

to Alynna and Aliantha, thanks so much for coordinating and for just being your wonderful selves! thanks Ali for bringing the girls!
thanks dlb for your wit and charm! thanks Creator for taking good care of me!! |G thanks Cail for making me ROTFLMAO, thanks jay for being tall. thanks danlo for being my smoking buddy and for the artwork and Neverness!!!! thanks Lorelei for singing VOICES CARRY with me!! thanks Romeo for everything (and you know what i mean! ) thanks to everyone for making this a GREAT ADVENTURE!!!

(and special thanks to the guys at the Weird Hotel for the giant kingsize bed upgrade!! )

when's the next one...

My pictures straight from my digital camera are huge as well. I use Adobe (I've got a cheap free version I got with my scanner). If you've got that it's pretty easy to do.

There's lots of ;) going on about this secret. My theory is is that there's no secret...although maybe I'm just hoping that! ;)

It's not my fault I had to finish my thesis.

After everything I've done for you all here at the Watch, too. :(

I set up the site...I added the new sub-forums...I let you pick your own custom titles again...I added every forum that you all asked me to make...I make funny jokes for you all...I pretty much let you all do whatever you all want... And you all still won't let me know what's going on?

It's ok... I'll be all right...

Some...where...out...there... Someone's saying a prayer...

Ah, but I'm a warm and fuzzy type of person. I like to spread love and understanding and EQUALITY for all! ;)

As for "Sworn to Secrecy by Romeo"...can't say I have been...but, then again, I'm not sure I necessarily have to have been! Some guard their secrets more than others. ;)

EDIT: Murrin DON'T ASK!!!!!
