I'm watching The Passenger--yes the ancient Michaelangelo Antonioni flick with Jack Nicholson and Maria (Last Tango in Paris) Schnieder. It's really a beautiful film the cinematography is gorgeous. It reminds me of a cross between The Constant Gardener and The Talented Mr. Ripley. In fact the premise of TMrR is ripped off straight from this film. Sony Pictures Classics did an incredible job in converting this to DVD.

I thought I had seen everything Jack has done, but no. In fact I've never finished watching The Last Detail and Atlantic City. But I think he'll forgive me for turning off Mars Attacks! right away :P> 8)

Watched Capricorn One last night. Great movie, can't believe no one's remade it yet.

Watched Freedomland, pretty good, some really good acting by Julianne Moore, Samuel L. Jackson & Edie Falco saved this movie from two over the top scenes, a soundtrack that got carried away with itself once or twice and the "it seems we've seen this story too many times before" bug.

Plane fare: On the way to New York watched Failure to Launch. You don't have to be all-emo to enjoy this chick-flick guys. McCongehey's character is cool (but his buddies are overstereotyped
Spoiler
or so it appears
), SJP not bad to look at-roomate's quite hot too, especially if you like NCIS  ). A hard story to swallow but Kathy Bates and (believe it or not) Terry Bradshaw are hilarious and save the movie.

On the way home: Eight Below-neat story, Disney-dogs always make me cry, dammit! :-x Lead actor went to the Kurt Russell/Hayden Christiansen School of Fine Arts. (side-kick overstereotyped
Spoiler
or so it appears
)

Saw the new Pirates of the Carribean today.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Any good? From what I've seen of the trailer, it's an awful movie.

I saw Pirates tonight, and it truely rocked! Many suprises, many laughs, action sequences that both swashed and buckled, and the most satisfying and unexpected cliffhanger ever!

I really enjoyed it, although i dont think it was as funny as the first one. To me it seems they tried putting those weird ''Jack'' conversations in. I hope you know the ones i mean because i cannot think of how to explain it.

The ending was just weird, hope they explain it in the thrid one.

Well the trick for any sequel is how to do something the audience hasn't seen, while maintaining the the integrity of the story. They did pretty damned good at both, I thought.

And the Hamster Wheel was just about perfect!
Spoiler
I'm guessing that Voo Doo Woman had something to do with the end.

Well, I watched The Celestine Prophesy (at the theater  ) and I almost broke my neck (right after watching Beyond the Wall of Sleep on DVD). Very compressed, compared to the book, if you've read the book you'll probably like it, if you haven't you won't understand half of what's going on. Great casting, good music, great locations. Will was perfectly cast. I'm happy!

that Russian Nightwatch: enjoyable if a bit muddled.

Underworld Evolution: nice to look at, but hollow.

Heart of Gold's pretty damm good-reminiscient of Scorcese's The Last Waltz--you don't think Neil can still play? I'd like to see you do that a month after a brain anyerism 8O Amazing!
