The Chronicles FILMED!

Post by Hearthcoal »

Padster started this thread back on the old board.

The Chronicles FILMED!

Since the topic of a movie has come up on the stephen donaldson vs. tolkien discussion, I thought I would start a thread directly related to thoughts about a TCTC movie.

Oooo, good trivia question!

Anthony Hopkins, 25 years ago, is SRD's choice to play TC. Me, I'd like to see Willam Defoe play TC.

Regarding the links - unfortunately, three of the five interviews that used to be available on the internet are no longer out there. I have the text of all five, so if you would like, I can e-mail them to you. (Can't post - copy write issues.)

I Like Joaquin

Post by danlo »

I like Joaquin Phoenix 2 but I have him resevered 2 play the character from the Neverness series I stole my name from: Danlo wi Soli Ringess in The Wild! It's either him or Wes Bently--I haven't decided yet...I think DaFoe would make a great Pitchwife! Geena Davis might make a great 1st of the Search, man she is buffed!

Who I would like as Thomas Covenant

Post by Vexis Larseker »

I think Edward Norton has the acting chops to pull it off, but is too boyish-looking.

Maybe Guy Pearce would be my choice.

for some reason, i imagine the emperor on the disney movie MULAN as lord mhoram. in human form, of coarse.
i think mel gibson ( with ALOT of makup) could be bannor, or brinn
question:do most of you picture tc with or without a beard most of the time?
i think of him w/ out, or try to.
kevin spacy could be tc and the red head on road trip could be joan.
THE ROCK could be a giant, like saltheart
geena davis could be linden, like how she looked in THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT with blonde hair

who in the Land is THE ROCK?

Geena Davis is too old for Linden IMHO

that guy who played in The Green Mile, that huge black man, he could be a nice Foamfollower

Geena would still b a good 1st!

I think The Rock is some pro-wrestler who is starring in (actually a fairly good Fantasy movie, if 1 can tell by the previews) The Scorpion King. Wow! Never thought of SHFF as black! TOTALLY NEW CONCEPT!

Haven't read the SD vs. JRRT discussion, so I'll ask it here: will there actually be a movie or is this "just" one of those what if discussions?

Lord Mhoram

Post by Tohrm »

Personally, I think that Mel Gibson would be better as Mhoram. And I agree about DeFoe if he was up to the task of playing TC. I don't know that anybody could really be up to it. As for Saltheart? How about one of the larger of the WCW wrestlers? After all, the Rock played the part of the scorpion king, and Andre the giant played a character in another movie.
