Who Wants To Be a Superhero?
Is anyone watching this?? We were laughing our butts off!
My favorite's Fat Momma. Gotta' love Fat Momma, with her donuts and bags of chips and stuff.
I think Major Victory will win.

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares about more than his personal safety; is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. The missus and I watched it. It was pretty funny. Personally, I'm rooting for Monkey Girl. Fat Momma's nice, but as a superhero... bleh.
Still a little ticked at myself for not catching the Rotiart thing (considering I got the Simpson's 'Yvan eht Nioj' right away). Wished they would've focused more on the selection. That should've been at least a few episodes itself.
Stan Lee is insane (and what's with all the DC references? Outweighed Marvel by at least a ratio of 5:1). I thought he was too hard on Creature. As if no superheroine has ever been flirtatious. And the other dude. "Superheroes don't kill people." Pfff.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Ain't it though? I like it.Fist and Faith wrote:Although I've never heard of the show, I just wanted to say: You have a damned freaky av!!
I can't figure out what yours is though... not because it's obscure or anything, just... I can't figure it out. Must be my bad eyesight again. Or it's supposed to be hard to figure out. By the way, how do so many of you put text in your graphics like that? It's cool. I wanna' put my username in mine, too.
Anyway, the show is funny.

I like MW, too. She seems like a really emotional but very cool person I could see being friends with in RL (her and FM both). But I'm still rooting for Major Victory as the overall winner. Check out his theme music; it's da bomb.Syl wrote:The missus and I watched it. It was pretty funny. Personally, I'm rooting for Monkey Girl. Fat Momma's nice, but as a superhero... bleh.
Yeah, I agree. I couldn't believe I didn't catch that one, either. I was sitting there going, "What the hell does 'Rotiart' mean?" totally going off in the wrong direction with it. I loved it when he ripped the backward one off. My son just rolled his eyes and said it was lame, but we were loving it. My seven-year-old went, "Oh... now I see!"Still a little ticked at myself for not catching the Rotiart thing (considering I got the Simpson's 'Yvan eht Nioj' right away). I'm not as big a comic fan as my husband, but it didn't seem to bother him like it usually would have. He's always going on about how Marvel was superior to DC. Maybe Stan just figured the pop culture references would be recognizable so he used 'em.Stan Lee is insane (and what's with all the DC references? Outweighed Marvel by at least a ratio of 5:1).
I felt sorry for Levity. He didn't even last a blink. I thought that was kind of unfair. I always feel bad for the first one off a show, but I mean, whoa.
Yeah, but still, as another woman I thought she was laying it on a little thick.I thought he was too hard on Creature. As if no superheroine has ever been flirtatious.
Iron Enforcer! I know! We looked at each other and went, "Batman does." Still, they're not supposed to. They didn't in Stan's day, did they? And I guess the Punisher does, too... and Daredevil (superhero for the blind community-- yay!). But then you'd expect that from a lawyer. And the other dude. "Superheroes don't kill people." Pfff.
I wanna' see what else they end up doing this week, but since that damn Shark Week is on now, I may miss it.

Haven't seen the show, but here's a guess: "Rotiart" reversed is "T-R-A-I-T-O-R." I'm guessing he's going for some kind of comicbook plot-twist.

Nah, he was the mole. He recorded the others on camera, and that's how Levity left so early. I don't know if we'll see Traitor again.Plissken wrote:Haven't seen the show, but here's a guess: "Rotiart" reversed is "T-R-A-I-T-O-R." I'm guessing he's going for some kind of comicbook plot-twist.

Isn't this a Stan Lee production?
No one ever truely goes away in a Stan Lee production. Especially good guys gone bad.

Well... that was prophetic! Can't wait to see what Dark Enforcer comes up with.Plissken wrote:Isn't this a Stan Lee production?

He is now going to have his own comic book & be in a movie.

Feedback, you mean.Cheval wrote:Flashback wins!
I liked Feedback and Fat Momma. I'm glad Feedback got it, though, if Major Victory couldn't.

I had an earlier conversation about "flashbacks" and I guess I didn't catch what I typed. )

Nah, I didn't think he was that dweeby. But then I might be biased. The whole time he was talking about Spider-man helping him grow up, my 53-year-old husband was nodding and going, "Yeah, yeah."
