Watch Problems

Post by kevinswatch »

Hey all,

I'm sure you've all noticed that there have been some server bugs with the Watch over the past couple of days. It's not you, so don't worry. (At least, I don't think it's you, heh.)

A lot of you have e-mailed me, and I'm sorry that I haven't gotten a chance to e-mail most of you back, but I'm in the middle of moving my stuff to my new apartment at my new school for the fall (Where I'll start my PhD program. Yay...) I just today got the internet working in here, heh.

Anyway, Vain has already given me a heads up that these Watch problems are expected. Right now, the message board's server is undergoing some updates. It's supposed to take place in August (hense the problems now, heh.) I don't know how long they'll last, but if I were you, I would except short outages like the one the other day every now and then. So don't sweat. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. I'll post any new announcements as I hear them.

Oh, and if anyone knows were Avatar lives, you may want to check on him. I'm worried about his mental health. I think his brain may have snapped from being away from the Watch for so long.

Oh, one other final problem with the Watch... I haven't been able to get my original name back...(grumble). Stupid Kevin's Pants. :P -jay

Who is this "Kevinspants" and what does he want?
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

Yeah, it's strange. Here at my cubicle I have no problems getting on, but in the room I work (same building), I can't, neither IE or Firefox.

But on the bright side, I haven't seen an ISE in a long time.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Lack of this board has pushed me to drinking. I have a beer right in front of me, right now. And I never drink at home.

I either need a life or yall need to never crash again. Ever.

Thanks for the heads-up, Pantsie! I thought the moron IT bunch here at work were trying to cut my access again!

Quee, you prolly didn't experience any access problems because you don't get on here til late...I managed to access every day, but only in the afternoon (Aussie time).

Got on without a problem this morning. *thumbs up*

I'm on and off. It works for 20 minutes and then chucks me off...as a result i've lost many worthy posts. *sigh*

Yes, at times I could access the index list, and then individual boards would give me an error message, and at other times the index itself refused to come up. Being on dial-up, I think I'm now about three days behind on some boards...

So far so good today...

At least here at the office. I'll have to see what happens on my dial-up at home.

Lordy, honey, I'm perpetually three *weeks* behind on most of the boards....

I never had a problem getting on -- but then I don't usually try every day (see above).
