"Hey Goose, ya big stud!"
"That's me baby!"
"Take me to bed or lose me forever."
"Show me the way home..."

Top Gun

Love that scene!
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

"today is a good day to die" was originally uttered by Sitting Bull before the Battle of Little Big Horn.
"We do not follow maps to buried treasure, and remember:X never, ever, marks the spot."
- Professor Henry Jones Jr.

"Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet."

I have only one purpose, the destruction of Hitler, and my life is much simplified thereby. If Hitler invaded Hell I would make at least a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons.

Was it part of a larger speech?

well I thought that Chief Dan George was portraying the quintessinal Sitting Bull-like character in the movie however I did find this quote:

"Crazy Horse called to his men, "Ho-ka hey! It is a good day to fight!
It is a good day to die! Strong hearts, brave hearts, to the front! Weak
hearts and cowards to the rear."

Has anyone ever noticed how well spoken and direct native american leaders seem to be despite knowing very little english?

Sitting Bull supposedly gave a rathering stirring speech before the battle he did not fight in, so it is quite likely that Crazy Horse used the same phrase.
