TC didn't meet with Saltheart Foamfollower on the way to Revelstone?

How would LFB play out?

well after thinking about it, Altarin Trell-Mate probably just would have killed TC in his sleep. Then there would have been no story and we all wouldn't be here. :)

If Atarian was going to kill him, she'd have done so by then. especially after Covenant refused to aid the wraiths in Andelain.

It would have been a much poorer story without SaltHeart :(

If SF was still going to Revelstone to tell the coucil about the triplets, but just never crosed paths with Covenant; Cov would have never had a connection with the giant, he would not have travelled with him on the quest, and chances are, would not have shammed him at Soaring Treehouse; and so Foamy would probebly not have left Coercri during the Genocide.

Atiaran on the other hand; would have probebly learned to hate Cov even more...BUT the Lords may have been able to heal her; or at least help better then her dwelling on it for years and then eventually going to the Lorsraat out of bitterness for the sole purpose of resommoning Covenant. Then If she never did that...Troy might not have gotten summoned.

It's a good thing he came sailing up the river when he did.

well if Foamy wasn't coming down the river, would the triplets have been born? Would there then have been the raver giants? Maybe the first evil would have saved the second and a larger evil in the end.

Atarian would've died of exhaustion and repressed rage after fording the Soulsease - and with her dying breath she would have laid a holy charge upon Covenant to stop being such a whinging, rapetastic, self-centered wanker and save the Land. Covenant would offer his solemn oath.

Unfortunately it would be a cowardly lie and he wouldn't even give it a shot. But while perishing from want in the scrublands beyond Andelain because of his sack-of-irremediable-helplessnesses thing, Covenant would be found by Quaan's party and dragged to Revelstone. Because Mhoram sent them, see, Mhoram being all foresighted.

Mhoram's foresight is good for a lot of stuff. It's like the Gorilla Glue of plotting.

I had a whole line of things that were to happen if our giant friend weren't introduced, but I think that it's all much simpler. I don't even know if he would have made the journey to Revelstone with out him, and our story would have ended there. Not to mention the end of the first Chronicals would have ended badly if TC hadn't had Foamy there to get him to LF and then laugh and end him.

Okay also, the second chronicles could not have taken place because TC did not have a love for the Giants.Remember that old Foamy to borrow the nick name was the one who lent TC the heart to defeat Lord Foul to begin with.
Foamfollower, whose laughter and pure heart had done more to defeat Lord Foul and heal the Land than any other power, despite the fact that his people had been butchered to the last child by a Giant-Raver wielding a fragment of the Illearth Stone.
So without Foamfollower there never would have been the heart to defeat Lord Foul to begin with and Grimmand Honniscrave would never have been moved within his great heart to help TC to begin with.SO, old Foamfollower was essential to the story, otherwise TC would have indeed died in Andelain after Atarian Trell-mate died of exhaustion.......... :?

So basically there it wouldnt have been any where near the story we know or it would of just ended.
"May Your Swords Stay Sharp!"

"Darkness withers the heart."

"If you desire to know the truth, you must also have the courge to accept it."

That's quite possible Sunder,it's very interesting to see the supporting cast being so pivotal in a story isn't it?There's probably a great number more we shall see in later books as well............ :E

I'm just saying that I love the giants in general, and that Saltheart Foamfollower is my hero. :loveyou:

No giants, no story. The end.
