Also, just realized that Covenant can't be Berek because he saw dead Berek when all the dead Lords appeared in the throne hall of Foul's Creche at the end of The Power that Preserves.
Yep. You'd think he would have recognized himself.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Or mine. ;)

Heh, i've said this before but, TC = Berek is one of the worst endings imaginable.

I think that, as I have said, that SRD is way to wily to reach so deep into the bag of cliche's and pull out TC=Berek.

yes... i guess I forgot how Saltheart laughing foul into spermazoa was such a fabulous ending....
These are the pale deaths
which men miscall their lives:
for all the scents of green things growing,
each breath is but an exhalation of the grave.

and hell walks laughing---

You know, it occurs to me that Covenant saw Berek with all the dead Lords at the end of TPTP. He never mentioned that he and Berek looked alike.

Well, he didn't say he was going to call Nom to Revelstone either. As far as seeing Berek with the dead, he may have seen himself in an unrecognizable form. Or recognized his future but did not say anything. But remember in Lord Foul's Bane his unbelief extended to him not being Berek re-incarnate as EVERYONE in the land suggested. Even a sixteen year old girl who had only heard stories about Berek recognized him immediately as the Lord Fatherer. Also with Elena he is a Lord Fatherer. Riddle me this how did the people of the land know of the white gold when it did not exist in their world?

Covenant and Berek are one.

Oh My, Mr. Milquetoast has asked a question that can't be answered, so the attacks begin eh?? Imagine a virual beheading of someone as meek and mild as Milton Milquetoast. Wouldn't it be easier to respond to the question without threats?

From dead Covenant to Linden "Look for me, but remember I'm dead."

Covenant is Berek.

I have been thinking about this and that's always a scary thing. The biggest reason for me that this doesn't work is that it would be so obvious. It would be like pointing at a red square for 10 books then at the end he says, "Look! It's a red square!"

It just doesn't work for me.
