Hi! Back again - sheesh it's a dog's life this football management isn't it?
I swear as soon as I pick a player he starts playing for the opposition!
In goal Robinson was a bit unlucky I thought with the goal he let in. Pulled off some stunning saves. BUT LET ONE IN!
Bloody Carragher international England defender lets me down again in defence - a few nice blocks - to recover from his own errors! - but totally at fault for second goal. (By the way Trapper your goalie looks like he's had training lessons from calamity james!)
Terry, England captain! Let in a goal and contributed nothing.
Campbell on the other hand, ex-international though he is, is playing a blinder. Set up our first goal and kept a clean sheet. Lovely.
Chimbonda should've bloody scored second half, didn't!
Lampard sets up two goals from corner kicks - not bad! But we won't mention his missed penalty!
Duff, again, was on the pitch but was still wearing his invisibility cloak!
Keane, my captain, was rumoured to be playing. I didn't see him!
(Doyle, Seol, and Bowyer play later - omg they'd better play well, this is relegation form!)

Half-time in the Man City match and I'm reading that Barton should have gotten more than one goal.
The man is as offensive on the pitch as he is on my team's hallowed training-grounds.
The threat he has provided in this match almost makes up for the threats he has delivered to my reserve team and youth team.
He is a velly, velly, BAD man. (Seinfeld).
Even if he gets a hat-trick I'm going to slag him off in the press on Monday.
Just you see if I don't.

At last some of my players have showed up!
Only seen Saturday's games so far but...
Campbell keeps ANOTHER clean sheet. "Terriifc performance by sol Campbell" says Gary Lineker on MOTD. "Magnificent again" from the twat Shearer.
Doyle. What can I say? A fabulous goal after SIXTEEN SECONDS!
Seol. Fantastic goal from outside area on 25 minuts. Some brill crosses.
I'm heading back to the top of the table, I reckon!

Stonemaybe:
You gambled really well on the Chimbonda situation. You've seemingly done well with Seol as well. I really like South Korean players (I've seen their national team play live and their pace and skill is underestimated by many in Europe), but I wouldn't have picked him myself as I didn't think he'd get much game-time.
Kudos to you.

Hi Trap,
where did you see s.k. play? me and gf applied for tickets for all their world cup matches. we were so pissed off when we didn't get any. I was expecting to see half empty stadiums due to tickets going to corporate fans who wouldn't bother showing up, but to be fair I think all their matches were full, even vs togo!
on the fantasy bit, I took a gamble on what I thought would be the biggest players in small teams - campbell, seol, doyle, chimbonda (when he was wigan), bowyer, as well as some established players. so far, so good!

I think it was in '97. It was in Sydney when Venables was managing Australia. Four team tournament. I only caught the last 30 mins of their match vs NZ before Aus played Norway.Stonemaybe wrote:where did you see s.k. play?
I know NZ isn't the greatest opposition, but the South Koreans looked damn good. Also, the Socceroos have played more matches against SK than anyone else except NZ (and possibly even them), so I support them in WC's.
There's only one Hung Myung-Bo.

I assume you're talking about Seol Ki-Hyeon. I have always rated him, I wanted him to join Southampton because he is so fast plus he can operate on any wing.
Started in Anderlecht I think then moved to Wolverhampton. Then went to Reading. he is overshadowed in the Korean team by Park Ji-Sung.
