I hope this is indeed a new topic and not unknowing rehashment. What would be way cool to see (read) in 3rd chronicles? How about Nom leading an army of Sandgorgons?
I started a thread about the Lands future. Thats what interests me. Like, for instance, the Haruchai's future, the new Revelstone Danlo referred to. And most of all, a Land w/out the Sunbane and w/out Lords... mmmmmm, I cant wait, where are those third chrons.?
I would like to read about how the land is restored by the only people who know the truth abut the clave and the sunbane--the Haruchai, Sunder, and Hollian. I would LOVE to see how they will convince people of the new(old) ways to live.
also, How will Foul return to the Land and who(what) will he use to try to escape the AoT
I am who I am, Ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol. The Guardian of the One
Tree. Brinn of the Haruchai.
Good God.. an army of Sandgorgons.. remembering how carried away i got when Nom came padding over the sea's.. would be too good to be true. It'd be too good to see TC's dead too yup, and the Giants would have to be in there.. but what of the Haruchai now, vow abandoned.. i guess we'd see more of how they lived before they pledged allegiance to Kevin ? Damit.. gotta get thru this Julian May stuff so i can read em again
I see a New Land. One with different forests and different features and different races/peoples. Not radically different, just different enough to be a good thing.
I enjoyed the way in which the second chronicles were a huge leap from the first, in terms of the time difference, the sunbane, etc, but still closely enough connected to the original Land. Now if only there can be as interesting a removal in the third chronicles!
In real time there was something like 8 years gap between the chrons? I'm fuzzy on the details right now. During that wait, the Land time passed by 3000 odd years. So - what would the math work out to?
My guess is that one day in the Real World is exactly one year in the Land. It matches all the data (which is only approximate anyway) and moreover is very neat and tidy.
The actual number of years is never truly established, but 375 might not be too far off the mark. I was thinking that perthaps SRD used 365 as the base multiplier. That would be a very convenient number as that is the numbers in our year.
