Emerson without a doubt for me, saw him a number of times, did to a Hammond what Hendrix did to as Strat, great performer. Wakeman was OK, fast but tended to just run up and down scales and was a bit of a plaguerist on his solo albums.

Moraz did a fantastic album with the old members of Nice, Davidson and Jackson I think, the album and band were called Refugee and split after tha with Moraz joining Yes.

Luci, suprised with the Blade Runner pics that you did not enter Vangelis into the field, I was never a great fan but the film score was a masterpiece also Tomita was a bit ahead of his time.

Oh and yes, Jon Lord and Tony Banks and Tony Kaye.

If it is, chalk up 1 for Ahmad Jamal, I'll throw in my lot with him.

Matrixman wrote:For jazz pianists...uh...Diana Krall...and, uh...Keith Jarrett. Another favorite is Junko Onishi, but I only know her by her one album, Piano Quintet - but what an album! Yes, she's Japanese, and she composed her own pieces for that CD. Unfortunately, she seems to have fallen off the edge of the earth, because I haven't found anything else by her for years now.
Yea for Krall and Jarrett, haven't heard of junko but I'll try and take a look sometime.

Anyway, I agree with other nominations, and I'm not going to try to go through and find every one I recognize, but Wonder and Emerson are two in particular I remember.
