A strange influence...

Post by Nom vs. Vain »

Has anyone ever looked at the defenition of the creator in The Ill Earth War? I find it kind of funny that that seems to tie in almost directly with Dr. Who... I think that even foul is Refered to as "The Master" a few times. Some of you may not understand this but I would like comments from those who do.

Do you think SRD was Influenced by the Dr. Who TV series?

What effect do you think this will have in the Last Chronicles?
These are the pale deaths
which men miscall their lives:
for all the scents of green things growing,
each breath is but an exhalation of the grave.
Boddies jerk like puppet corpses,
and hell walks laughing---

SRD is a fan of "Dr. Who" and he's talked about that quite often in the GI. As to any influence, I don't recall exactly but I'm sure he'd say that he was not consciously influenced. When did "Dr. Who" first appear on TV?

Thanks, I actually thought it was much later than that, perhaps even after 1st Chronicles was written.
