Thats the noise i made when we scored.
Wasnt the greatest game of football ive seen but we played well and definatey were not outclassed.
Great Atmophere in Hampen aswell.
James Mcfadden was lucky to stay on the pitch though, two rash, and un-provoked challenges, no suprise he was subbed.
2 point from this weeks double-header would have been brilliant, and a win has set us up nicely as group leaders.
A point from the Ukraine match would cap a wonderful week.
Joyous.

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

Our nations have done us proud!
England got beat by Croatia. I didn't watch the game but I saw the second goal, every funny. A rub-off from Sven, using usless systems. 4-4-2 all the way(and sometimes 4-5-1).
I actually watched the Scotland game and it was harsh. Sctoland defended so well and the Ukraine got lucky with a silly tap in. Then the ref started to mess up the game by sending off someone which shouldn't have gone and giving a penalty... which it wasn't.

Got to admit that Ukraine were the better team, but they got a lucky break for the first goal, the sending off was a joke, and it was never a penalty.
However,if you had asked me if I would accept being top of the group after 4 games, i would have bitten your hand off for that.

Yea poor game, the sending off was a joke, but at least Pressley wont miss any big mathes, i think its the georgia games he misses which is much better than the Italy or France games.

What is it with Belgians and legal-action?
Bosman had a point, but this:
news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/6047656.stm
makes me really mad.
International Football >>>>> Club Football.
I hope Charleroi doesn't qualify for Europe again in my lifetime. Stuff 'em.
Stuff Belgian
football as well. I can't remember anything useful that it has contributed to the world game.
It's ironic that the only Belgian footballers I can think of off the top of my head were immigrants (Scifo, M'penza).
Muppets. Boring football as well.
Wenger can GaGF too.

Italian Serie A(7): Buffon (Juventus), Gattuso (Milan), Grosso (Internazionale), Kaka (Milan), Pirlo (Milan), Toni (Fiorentina), Vieira (Internazionale)
Spanish La Liga(14): Cannavaro (Real Madrid), Deco (Barcelona), Diarra (Real Madrid), Eto'o (Barcelona), Giuly (Barcelona), Messi (Barcelona), Puyol (Barcelona), Ronaldinho (Barcelona), Riquelme (Villarreal), Thuram (Barcelona), Villa (Valencia), Zambrotta (Barcelona), Zidane (Retired), Torres (Atletico Madrid)

No players from the Scottish Premiership or Portugal's League were mentioned. I pretty much agree with that list accept I would remove Thuram and Giuly. A Cole, Beckham, Raul, Petrov, Cech, and Tuezguet(sp?) should have got some mentions... maybe Crespo.

DEATH IS A PREFERABLE ALTERNATIVE TO COMMUNISM!
Over the passed few weeks I have seen some of the best football. The two best teams in the world, Chelsea and Barcelona, have been playing each other.
Chelsea won the First game where they owned Barcelona. Then last night it was the return leg. It was a great game, finished 2-2. The referee was clearly on Barcelona's side(but they all are). Barcelona may not go through now.
I can see all the British sides going through: Manchester United, Liverpool(they have gone through), Chelsea, Arsenal(the I think will struggle) and Celtic. The first time(I think) where one country has had 5 teams go through(if Hearts got their act together, it might have been 6).

An article I enjoyed about hard men in the midfield:

And as an Aussie I just have to say... TIMMY!!!!!

Champions League has been happening.
Man U got beaten by Celtic 1-0 and now Celtic are through
Arsenal beat their team(they needed it).
Liverpool play tonight but they are already through.
Cheslea only need a point tonight.
Barcelona really need to win their game to stay in.
In the Premiership, it seems now to be a two horse race between Man U and Chelsea. Chelsea will win it because they have depth in squad and Man U don't.

Man U and Celtic game was once again poor, great free kick and penalty save though.

Holy crap !!!!!
Man Utd have got Larsson on loan for a few months - great bit of business for them. Even at 35 he'll score a few goals given the chance.
