Battlestar Galactica...

I finally bought Season One on DVD, and I've seen 2 or 3 episodes from Season Two. I've seen both eps from Season Three so far, and......I'm hoping the next ep resolves this and we can get back to the story.

Tonight's episode was unbelievable.
All I can say is thank you Saul!

Ditto! It's brilliant - just brilliant! I didn't think I'd EVER be able to feel bad for Tigh. Even if they poked his eye out with a stick and served it to him with bacon and toast.Trapper439 wrote:Whilst biologically incapable, I offer myself as the bearer of Ron Moore's love-child.

And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.
I understand where you're coming from, but I thought the guy kind of proved himself in the original mini-series when he made the hard decision about cutting off the air-locks. He's a "loser", but Adama saw something in him before he took command.Romeo wrote:Ditto! It's brilliant - just brilliant! I didn't think I'd EVER be able to feel bad for Tigh. Ah! Must ... hold ... back ... the ... tears ............
That said, I haven't seen the episode you're talking about but your recommendation is making me salivate. I'm just glad that it seems the standard hasn't dropped.

MAN! Just amazing!! Yeah, Saul's part was beyond belief!
Starbuck's was also great. I wasn't entirely surprised, but still...
And when Lee looked around and said, "Thank you." Incredible visuals, tactics, everything.
WHAT AN EPISODE!!!!!!!

Another drop-dead good one!
I loved the ending. Who could really argue against Zarek's reasoning? As wrong as it is in practice, he may have been right that things would have torn themselves apart otherwise. Good philisophical discussion stuff which is typical for the series. His mistake? He TOLD them in the end. That's the kind of thing that if you do it you keep it to yourself. Although it did push Roslyn to an excellent final decision on the matter - she was clearly going in the other direction before Tom told her what he did.
So (tying this into Runes) - can good come from evil acts? (although the question is probably better stated, "SHOULD good ever come from evil acts")

I was very impressed and pleased with her decision. Of course, not everyone, here or in the series, will agree. I can't imagine there wouldn't be those who are not happy with it, and, whether we see it or not, keep going for the "badguys."Romeo wrote:Although it did push Roslyn to an excellent final decision on the matter - she was clearly going in the other direction before Tom told her what he did.
Of course it can. But that doesn't mean the ends justifies the means. It just means that...Romeo wrote:So (tying this into Runes) - can good come from evil acts?
...we should always try to make good come from every act. When confronted with evil, try to spin it.Romeo wrote:(although the question is probably better stated, "SHOULD good ever come from evil acts")

Gosh, other than B5, who would've expected the epsiode after a 1/4 season Occupation arc to be darker than the occupation arc itself?
They really dove into the ramifications. You two have got to watch the episode, if you can find it on line or some other means.
