This is my new secret show-it's getting seriously intense four weeks after the bombs have dropped, spies, mini-fuedalism, survivalists...begining to start to resemble The Postman, Brin's book as opposed to the movie.

It's fairly well done (aside from Super Jake gets a bit ridiculous at times), and if I had a checklist of what makes a great series, it would have most of the items checked off, there's just something that's not engaging to me though. I have it on every week, but, each week, I think absorbing less and less.

I definitely can understand why so many people love the show, though. I guess I'm just not a real big fan of Post Appocalyptic

I do like post-apocalyptic stuff, but I just can't get into this show.

Well, with Lost gone (and I have ablsolutely no interest in Daybreak) until Feb. I'm going to pay very serious attention to tonight's episode. They're going to have to shake it up alot-so it doesn't follow Invasion's path...still some very good concepts working...

I watch it each week, but it is hard sometimes. There are the cool mayterious, what the heck is going on parts, and then there are the boring Soap parts. It's the latter that keep me from really getting into the show.
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

Agreed--like the 'wedding" vs the mercenary showdown tonight. But it looks like it's going to get a hell of a lot more intense next week with the Finale after that.

I just watched the most recent episode, after seeing two days of a marathon a couple of weeks ago (On Demand, is there any wonder you can't achieve?), and I can't believe this show is getting such a tepid reception. (Or that I had too search several pages back to find it's thread.)

As far as I'm concerned, it's about the deepest, most thought provoking show out there. I'd discuss it in detail, but (for once) I'm hesitant to give away spoilers. The plot is far more believable and scarier than >high praise< Red Dawn , and about as good an argument for the best storytelling only being possible in serial format. (That's as far as I'm willing to go without giving everything away.)

I really, really love this show - and, if you haven't been able to get into it, I suggest finding a way (is the first season out on DVD yet?) to watch as many episodes in succession as possible and see if you don't end up like me: Waiting with baited breath for the next episode to become available for viewing.

I watched the pilot after much encouragement from a couple of co-workers, but it was just so depressing and disturbing that I haven't watch any other episodes.

My wife and I recently watched this on Netflix. In short, it was great, and I can't believe it didn't get better reviews (or a longer run).

Although, the second season wasn't as enjoyable as the first, it was still engaging enough for us to be seriously disappointed that that's all there is :(
