I feel good.

Got to play 27 holes of golf today for free, it was cold enough to keep people away so we had the whole course to ourselves. The only other person we saw was the cart girl. I've got a charity tournament Monday, so this was a good warm-up.

Now I've got the whole house to myself (well, except for the hounds), I've got a pot of chili, a good bottle of Australian Cabernet/Merlot, and Battlestar Galactica comes on in 3 hours.

I'm gonna fall asleep at 10:01 and wake up tomorrow morning and go on a 20 mile bike ride.

Thanks for reminding me 'bout BSG! (I forgot about it last week, or was too busy, or something) I was planning on buying and watching Reservior Dogs (which I have never seen) then I looked at the long lines, tossed it on a stack of shirts and said, "Hell no! I'm not going to give **blankety-blank** Wal-Mart any of my goddam money! 8)

Annoyed & sad. I accidentely left the bag of jewelry my mother bought for herself on the shopping trolley. Came home and she just realised it. Now we're waiting for someone to return it - which I doubt will happen. Someone will take it and either sell it or keep it for themselves. God damnit.

well the commisary job is likely going to someone with more experience but less of a worker than i am. and he is 2 years out from retirement. and he has been written, almost being fired at least once. but it is felt i can be more productive where i am at. so i did too well and now get to keep covering for other problems.

Sorry to hear that Lore. You never know...there are some "good people" out there (so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you).

I'm tired and a little down after an explosive night last night (not worth relaying the details). I'd love to just sleep the day away. However...other things to do.

Had a great Friday night. Ate with two of my best friends from high school (one that I don't see much anymore). The night evolved (or devolved, one might say) into us watching a Saturday Night Live best-of DVD of commercial paordies. Also watched an episode of "Tales from the Dark Side."

Finally got that new $$ waffle machine in the mail. Tried it Thursday and it's ace. Time to get the coffee perking and the griddle steaming. See ya!

Waffles. That sounds good this morning. I don't have a waffle maker though. I'll just have to cook up some eggs and bacon.

Today the calendar is open, which is better than yesterday when I went to two wakes. Two women, each taken by cancer at far too young an age.

Been working on my powerpoint presentation for Tuesday.

Three or so slides use some pictures I took of Canterbury cathedral, all played to some medieval music by Perotin. Might throw in a little Brian Eno ambience, too.

Also some humor on one slide, such as when the Final Fantasy fanfare plays as I introduce the first use of the word "noun" in English literature.
