I asked Undine to help me. Therefore your theory is flawed.

When confronted with a plague, you turn to Water and Fertility, but not Health?

The point is that he went to someone for help. Why he chose Undine over Jastrau is his own concern.

I would like it to be known that I have sent some luck Jastrau's way in finding a cure for the plague.

And I humbly thank you Chisi. It has been put to good use.

Undine claims he has a healing water that can combat the plague.

Alas, that may be too late, m'lady. I am fighting the plague now using a radical technique. Unfortunately, I cannot have Jastrau or Undine's people in my lands as they will be affected, too.

Based on Undine's claims, I see no reason to question my decision.

Other than two DRP's are better than one (and I doubt that Undine actually offered you a DRP), and that it is common curtesy to reply to a generous offer. Or (the one I most firmly believe in) that you simply ignored it because you were not interested in curing the plague. Don't waste your time defending yourself. Everyone not in league with you knows the real story.

Nor's invasion a season ago occurred just prior to the activation of some security measures I was working on. I cannot know how well they would have worked if they were in place prior to the kidnappings.

However, they are working now. Nor, I have captured several Houka. This happened after your supposed withdrawal from my lands. To be fair, I suppose it is possible that they were not intentionally left behind, but were captured while attempting to return to your invasion fleet. In the interests of keeping whatever peace can be kept, I am willing to work under that assumption.

If you would like them back, I will bring any I capture to Ayre. They will be held there, under Loving conditions. If you send a single ship - a small one - I will bring them to you in a boat. Please do not harm or capture my followers in the boat. They will be unarmed.

And please do not try to make landfall anywhere.

If I capture more in the future, I will let you know, and offer the same arrangements.

Please let me know if all of this is acceptable. It is, in fact, the only way I am willing to deal with you, as it is the only way I can think that would be safe.
I am the self-fulfilling prophecy. Give love, and you WILL receive love. Let your every answer, your every action and reaction, your every desire, be rooted in love.

Great news Lord Adomorn! I wish mine were as joyous.

My fertile lands have been hit by a metheor and my people is decimated! A group of alleged adventurers "accidentally" called it down. The metheor carried some contaminant that killed everyone who had been in contact with it within hours.

I don't believe in accidents. Rest assured that the responsible party is going to pay heavily for this foul deed. An examination of the (now dead) adventurers is going on as we speak.

I will also have it known that I do not tolerate anyone taking justice into their own hands. Justice is mine as those lynching followers of mine will understand.

Dearest Bhakti, I am appalled that not all the Houka returned to my lands. I am deeply ashamed, and thus will make all reparations I can. This is not fair to you, and I will work with your followers to achieve a satisfactory outcome for us both. I greatly appreciate your kindness in trying to return my favoured Houka to me. I agree to your deal and will honour it. A single ship - unarmed I might add - will be sent. And to show my respect to you - the King himself will be on the ship. He will greet your followers and thank them each in turn. I will send a gift - that is, whatever you want. Then, if you are happy, you can hand the Houka back to us.

Oh, and please let me know if any more of my people remain your lands. I will not abide any breaking of a previous agreement.

Regards,

Nor Yekith

And I will not waste my time convincing you if you do not agree. I am shamed to admit that i did not take advantage of your offer. It is my loss. I will be opening my borders to your followers for you to cure my lands. And that means I will want you to expend godly energy in doing so. I am desperately seeking your assistance and will be glad to grant you the altered crops you seek.

I am just deeply sorry I have ignored your offers of help, and this pains me.

Nor Yekith,

Let me be plain. I do not trust you. Your past actions have not earned you such. The presence of your King and Prophet makes me most uneasy. His presence on such an inconsequential mission seems to be a bit of overkill, and I fear that may, indeed, be your intention. I would prefer that he not be present. I will, of course, sense his presence as he approaches, unless you use Power to hide him.

However, I will take no action against your ship, whether he is aboard it or not, if it does not do anything unexpected. If his ship does not attempt to approach the mainland, or if it comes closer than the point that it is within view of my sentries on Ayre, all will be peaceful.

My current thinking is now this: I will not have any of my people be in the boat that meets your ship. I will have many of my archers present as your Houka are escorted to the boat, and they can row themselves out to meet you. If they resist being escorted to the boat, attempt to come back to shore, or go in the direction of the mainland, my people will consider it an attack. I will, of course, also have sentries on the shore of the mainland.

Please, let us make this as simple as possible. I apologize if your your words are sincere, but I cannot afford to assume they are. Who can say whether the future will bring greater trust and peace between us? That is my hope for all. But that time is certainly not upon us.

Bhakti, I understand and respect your mistrust. As much as it grieves me. I will still send the King, as a sign of trust and with the intent of improving relations between us. And I still intend to send a gift of appreciation. If you do not wish to take it, that is alright with me.

As much as I am hurt you feel this way, I am relieved my Houka will be returned to me. You are indeed the god of love.

Bhakti, your mistrust might not be unwarranted, but there are other explanations. Notice that this action of Nor Yekith's will likely mean that the King is not inside the city during this big event Nor Yekith has warned other gods about.

Yes, it is entirely possible that the King's presence near me merely coincides with a necessary absence from his own land. I cannot assume such a thing, but I do not assume it is an attack, either. If he makes no move to approach my people or lands, I will make none toward his ship.

Maeror, the event has already happened. I am currently reviewing a report from one of my high priests, Thinsilwil himself, and will send the report for the pantheon to read.

Hail Bretheren. *bows*

An interesting turn with some disturbing and some pleasing things learned.

But I regret to inform you that a particularly zealous preacher of my word is en route to Olaern intent on winning people to my worship.

However, I hasten to assure you that he will be recalled, and given a task equally suited to his missionary fervour. The Gods of Olaern need not concern themselves on this matter. I have no wish to win away their followers.

Also, I would like to thank Simjen and Jastrau for their aid in overcoming the famine that has recently swept my lands. My prophet Pathikah will announce Vadhaka's gratitude from the heights of the mother temple that all may know. *bows*

I cannot help hearing rumors and hints, but I do not keep close track of battles and wars that do not take place on Landir. So I must ask, are you currently at odds with anyone? If you are, you just revealed what might be an important bit of information. All now know your prophet will be in a single, unarmed ship, and it will be within sight of Ayre (but no closer) to pick up some of your Houka? 8O

Of course, I point this out not to encourage you to send a fleet to protect him, but to discourage his presence at all.
