So long as the king respects the borders of other sovereign nations and people, then I have no problem with that. Indeed, we share a similar philosophy... though our visions of its execution differ dramatically.
Said she, "What I get I get out of the fire,
So prithee, strike home and redouble the blow."

"Oh of course," the Navigator said with faint mocking in his voice, "you have probably heard of House Praetus. We have a palace on Holy Terra. Like all powerful groups, we also have our enemies. Do you honestly think someone like you matters?" - A dissolute noble.
*sigh* How long must we dance like this? Say it more plainly. Exactly what do you intend the borders of the King's realm to contain?Nor Yekith wrote:I appreciate your need to clarify matters, like Maeror, so I will make my statement clear. I intend to transform all life within the borders of the King's realm.Simjen wrote:So, say it plainly. Will you keep your transmutations to your own lands and people?
But it is only a small part of Love. Not that I blame you for such an attitude. After all, I cannot envision all aspects of Malice.Nor Yekith wrote:Love is a means to maintain the growth of populations. This suits me.

That is for the King to answer. As I said, he will sail to your lands to meet you.Bhakti wrote:How long must we dance like this? Say it more plainly. Exactly what do you intend the borders of the King's realm to contain?

Again, you evade the answer. Does your prophet not act to carry out your desires? What are your desires?Nor Yekith wrote:That is for the King to answer. In any event, he will not meet me, nor any of my followers, unless he successfully invades my lands.
Actually, I am feeling less safe about your people's presence near my lands all the time. For the safety of my people, I must push our meeting place back a bit when you come to claim your Houka. I will have a ship wait for you at sea. It will be within sight of my people in the lighthouse on Ayre. It will be on the straight line between Ayre and the nearest tip of land of Khenstorn, which lies south-southwest of Ayre. When our ships sight each other, mine will signal Ayre, and you must stop yours. When you do, smaller boats will tow a boat containing your Houka. Your Houka will be bound, securely, but comfortably. When the Houka are sufficient distance from my ship, my people will attach a knife to a rope that will be dangling from the boat containing the Houka. They will be bound in such a way that, without being able to escape without the knife, they will be able to pull it in, free themselves, and row to your ship. At which point you should begin sailing away from my lands.
Of course, I will have sentries at other points along the shore, on the water, etc.
If you want your Houka back, this is the only way I offer them. If you agree, any deviation - and, really, your part is extremely simple - will be considered an aggressive move. If you have more than one ship, it will be assumed to be an invading fleet. If you do come with only one ship, and it moves toward mine, it will be considered an attack. If any ships are within sight of my lands, it will be assumed to be an invasion. (Your previous invasion and kidnappings proved that you have competent navigators, so "I accidentally went off course" will not be an acceptable excuse.) If any of your people attempt any sort of communication with my people, it will be assumed to be an attempt at some form of mind-control.
If you do not want your Houka back, then our business is already concluded. Surprisingly, this presents no problem. They are not as miserable among my people as I assumed they would be.

So the question is - Do you want your Houka back?

On second thoughts, keep the Houka. I refuse to deal with you after listening to this paranoid nonsense. I attempted to deal with you honourably and here you slap me in the face with your suspicion.

The King recognises all borders and assures me that he will not send his armies to invade other realms. He has no intention of waging a war in which the Royal Armies of the Kingdom will become armed for protracted warfare or will suffer casualties. The Royal Armies' role is purely defensive. As such, they are armed and trained in that capacity.Bhakti wrote:Not that Nor is willing to give the slightest assurance that that is the case...Vadhaka wrote:Agreed.Simjen wrote:So long as the king respects the borders of other sovereign nations and people, then I have no problem with that.

I am announcing that I am entering into an alliance with Queeaqueg - for the mutual benefit and protection of our realms. As such, I have been marching an army for his use this past week. In doing so, I approve of all actions he takes and will support his aims. It is our hope that we both profit from the alliance.
Second, Chisi La'Roo, I will sign that non-aggression pact providing you fulfil your terms of the contract. If so, I will openly agree to the pact here - as long as it is ratified by one of the deities. May all gods and realms flourish on this continent, and may we embrace an age of peace and good will here.

What a momentous day, Brothers. The great Treaty of Khenstorn has just been signed where the three ruling Power Houses have announced undying harmony and collaboration with each other. I hope this day will show the world of our intentions for everlasting peace and innovation. May the future be bright for the land of Khenstorn and the World.

Also, is the treaty open for the Pantheon to see?

I understand, Lord Adamorn, that your first question is not directed at me. However, I'd like to ask... What aggressive actions by Queeaqueg ? What has he done to spark any sort of distrust from his brothers? I understand that it may be seen as naive to assume that the God of War wants anything but to exert his domain over the world, but can war not be use solely to protect? Must it be a domain of aggression? I would argue that War is not an inherently aggressive or evil domain. Can not Love be used to tear people and even cities asunder? Can Luck not be used to curse another's enemies? Even Justice can be taken to a level where it is no longer a tool for good.
In short, for Luck's sake, don't condemn Queeaqueg for being what he is. Judge him for what he does.
To answer your second question, I see no need to share the treaty with anyone outside of it's influence, but it will be discussed.

Who says everything has to happen for a reason? Sometimes things just fall into place. Nothing in your future is set in stone, and your story is what you make of it. Make it good, make it interesting, and Lady Luck will smile upon you.

The pact that was signed was one of non-agression. Nothing more has been discussed between myself and Queeaqueg or myself and Nor Yekith.

It was not my intent to sling around any sort of accusations, there was just a line that had me thinking:
The aims of a God of War? This makes me ponder what war will be started and for what purposes.Nor Yekith wrote:As such, I have been marching an army for his use this past week. In doing so, I approve of all actions he takes and will support his aims.
I am more than happy to ratify the agreement. Who better than the arbiter of Justice?Nor Yekith wrote:As I wrote earlier, I want another deity to ratify the agreement.
