A Wizard, A True Star came in the mail recently. This might be my favorite album, replacing Abbey Road.
This record has everything I love: it doesn't take itself seriously, has songs merging into other songs, has a medley, has Beatles pop sensibility, Stevie Wonder smoothness, and HUGE length (over 50 minutes). Basically the album I've always wanted to make.
I'm definitely getting three other albums by him: Something/Anything?, Todd, and Hermit of Mink Hollow.
