both Forever Knight soundtracks

Great Big Sea's first cd

Gaelic Storm: How are we getting home?

Next on the list, hopefully, will be Stan Rogers' Northwest Passage, and Fogarty's Cove.
"We probably could have saved ourselves, but we were too damned lazy to try very hard... and too damn cheap." - Kurt Vonnegut

"Now if you remember all great paintings have an element of tragedy to them. Uh, for instance if you remember from last week, the unicorn was stuck on the aircraft carrier and couldn't get off. That was very sad. " - Kids in the Hall

Today I bought:

Thom Yorke - The Eraser
The Beta Band - The Three EPs
The Go! Team - Thunder Lightning Strike.

I'm a quarter through the second one, and I'm pleased with my purchases so far. Unfortunatley my record player is hissing and crackling for some reason, and since the Go! Team album is vinyl, it may be slightly marred.

After talking with Guns, dlp and others about country music I went out to replace my two lost Hal Ketcham albums but came away with a bargain at 9.99 The Hits with: Sure Love, Past the Point of Rescue, Small Town Saturday Night, Five O'Clock World, Hang on Superman and many others. The man has such a stellar voice, I am very happy! :D
fall far and well Pilots!

Good job, buddy! I just picked up a copy of the Thorns first record. The thorns are: Matthew Sweet, Pete Droge, Shawn Mullins.

Today I bought the U2 compilation U218Singles. Why, when two U2 greatest hits titles already exist (1980-1990 & 1990-2000)? Because it's U2, man! I use a very simple formula: U2 puts out CD, I buy! :)

Also bought...wait for it...

LOREENA MCKENNITT'S BRAND NEW ALBUM!!! ---> AN ANCIENT MUSE

That's right, her first studio album in 9 years!

A rather momentous occasion if you're a McKennitt fan. :)

Unfortunate that fellow McKennitt enthusiast Iryssa is not around to mark the occasion with me... :(

Just Downloaded Ben Kweller "Sundress" and Snow Patrol's "Chocolate". Planning on downloading some James McMurty and Reckless Kelly to boot.

Just bought United States of America by United States of America on ebay. I've had it taped for about 15 years but didn't know it was out on cd and am now VERY happy!!!!

Ring modulators are the best!

United States Of America - The Garden of Earthly Delights
"Poisonous gardens, lethal and sweet,
Venomous blossoms
Choleric fruit deadly to eat

Violet nightshades, innocent bloom,
Omniverous orchids,
Cautiously wait, hungrily loom.

Petrified willows, twisted and brown
Carrion swallows,
Wait in the wet darkening ground.

Withering shadows, quietly grow,
Potently breeding
Into a spectacular glow

Lemonous petals, dissident play,
Tasting of ergot,
Dancing by night, dying by day.

Blackening mushrooms drink in the rain,
Sinister nightblooms
Wilt in the dawns welcoming pain"
Aglithophile and conniptionist and spectacular moonbow beholder 16Jul11
