Boston Legal

Post by dlbpharmd »

After watching the William Shatner roast on Comedy Network, and talking to a couple of my friends, I've started watching this season 1 of this show on DVD - and it's actually pretty good, and Shatner is hilarious! Anyone else watch this show?

Yeah, I watch it. James Spader's character was in the last series of "The Practice" and I felt he got to show the depth of his acting skills better there.

But Shatner is incredibly amusing in BL, and the "A@@ Fat" episode was sooo funny. 8) :D

For some reason I stopped watching "The Practice" so I didn't even know that Spader was on it.

That reason was probably that it went downhill after a while. :D I got so sick of Bobby.

Spader's a brilliant actor and the only Boston Legal episode that has showed that IMHO is the one where :
Spoiler
He fought a losing battle against the death-penalty
In The Practice he played the same character, but they emphasised that he was a strange man doing the right things for the wrong reasons. I thought it was a wonderfully complex role and he played it perfectly.

I saw it for the first time last week and I thought the show was pretty good. I was out and missed it this week, but I do think I'm going to make the show a viewing habit.

Here's a great reason to watch this show: Rhona Mitra

I've been trying to catch up (just now starting the 2nd season on DVD) and also trying to watch 3rd season, so many characters have left, and no more Rhona Mitra.....I'm devastated!
