Mario Kart is aslo great, but again is more multiplayer thing as the single player is rediculously easy.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.

Well, I might be getting a Wii soon, as I found out it was backwards compatible with GC games (and has four ports for GC controllers, to boot). I should've know this, but I digress.

The Wii will be mine, and I will soon stroke its long, smooth shaft.

Well, it does resemble a smooth shaft. And I admit, I probably won't stroke it--just play it a lot. And then it will spurt gaming goodness into my eyes (thanks to the TV screen).

Wii jokes aside: I'd usually be a lot more leery of the Wii, had not Nintendo dashed my skepticism of the DS. That thing turned out to be a powerful, innovative gaming machine, despite the overwhelming negativity it initially received.

But--the DS has software to thank, and at this point there's no telling how the Wii's library will stack up. I know there's going to be a new Zelda, a new Smash Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Prime seems to be the most easily translatable game to the Wii. Here's hoping the rest make a smooth transition!

Heh. Although I guess you're both right. SSB is the kind of game that's 100 times better with people to play with.

I've just become so obsessed with it, that I love playing it by myself. Heh.

Well, I'd still recommend Metroid Prime. Wind Waker was also kinda fun. There are a bunch of other GC games I'd probably recommend that were fun. Pikmin was a cute little game. Like I said, ToS was kind of addicting. I can't think of any others off the top of my head, but I think there are some more must plays.-jay
DON'T FORGET THE NEXT FIRE EMBLEM!!!

Actually, I'm looking forward to it as a fan of the series as a whole, but it looks like one of the least interesting games on the Wii in terms of innovation and such.

I'm not super-psyched about the Wii, but I'm far more interested in it than the PS3 or the XBox 360. I'm a big fan of many of the developers that go with sony, and it's gonna be a special kind of pain to miss out on Metal Gear Solid 4, but the technology over cost-effectiveness the PS3 represents to me is just going too far this time.

I'm not going to get any of the systems for a while, but I'm trying to make an arrangement to make it over to my friend's house once every week exclusively for playing Twilight Princess. My first playthrough of Ocarina of Time was via his N64, so it's oddly appropriate that I use the same method again.

Last night I dreamed that someone bought me a Wii.

Today's awakening was disappointing indeed. :(

I have this feeling that people are getting overexcited. Maybe the Wii controls for Zelda were tacked on--or maybe not. There hasn't been enough time to gain real perspective. All I've seen is exhuberence, rather than people standing back.

I think I might just end up getting a GameCube now, cause all I want is some classic Zelda. This is the first "major Zelda" I've played since 1998. Good lord! Almost ten years. I'm FAMISHED for you, Link!

If I get a Wii, it'll be this summer. By then they might have lowered the price, ironed out a few bugs, introduced some new colors, etc. I'm always leery of buying a system at launch.

Similar feeling from yours truly. Regardless of how innovatively they inserted the Wii's controller into the gameplay, it's not something I need right now. If you get a GCN, I suggest getting Master Quest in addition to Windwaker if you're gonna get that; it's a great port of OoT that's worth investing your time in. Also...you should try Ikaruga :)

However, it looks a lot better than the other two consoles. I'll probably be on the older systems for another year or so...but believe me, I know how to bide my time. Had an NES when the PS1 came out, upped to the SNES when the N64 did, and got a PS1 about a year and a half before the PS2 came out. I did reserve a PS2 before it came out, but I waited until about spring or summer of this year to get my GCN. I will do the same with the next-gen consoles; I'm thinking I might get a PS3 third year of college at earliest.
