It's been COLD here for the past week, in the -20 C range. Right now it is -26, with the windchill making it -37.

And we got lotsa snow. So it's brutally cold, and blindingly white. But we sure are getting purrrty sunrises and sunsets.

No snow pics from anybody else? :(

I put one up this morning of the horses across the road from my house grazing in the snow covered field.

A cold front is coming through tonight. The high temp tomorrow is supposed to be 15 F.

WE got a little storm on Monday...it was suppoed to Be 6cm follwed by 20mm of rain...what actually happened was 6 cm of snow followed by 20 cm of snow.

It was crazy..it all fell in a few hours...right at rushour time..the city was gridlocked in all directions for HOURS!! I mean it's usually a half hour drive home from work for me..it took over two and half.

Temp went up Wednsday, and it all melted away.

But we got about 6 or 8 cm tonight.

Had a pretty heavy hailstone shower today now its raining...again.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Matrix Man...where do you live? A windchill of -37! You make WI look downright tropical!

Our snow seems to melting away. I like snow for Xmas, but by January 1st, I am ready for spring.

I'm in Winnipeg, Gunslinger.

The big freeze came and went. Now it's much more pleasant, hovering around zero.

Yesterday I visited the park and it looked postcard perfect. Frost had covered everything, giving the place a winter wonderland look.

Isn't it funny how the body adapts? We hqad 4-5 days of belwo zero wind chills. It got back up to 30 degress and i was walking around without a coat, clad only in the fleece pull-over. I'll bet it is the same for you!

I would wlove to visit Cananda someday. Winnepeg, Quebec and Vancouver are 3 destiantions..Maybe Calgary too.

I've been to Toronto and Montreal. Love 'em both, but have always wanted to visit the Maritimes (yes, I am one of those girls who grew up adoring Anne Of Green Gables and have always wanted to visit PEI because it sounds so gorgeous), Quebec City, Vancouver, and the Canadian Rockies. :D If I ever get a chance to drive out to the Rockies, I would certainly be happy to stop off and visit Matrixman in Winnipeg. 8)

This is the oddest Decemeber I have ever seen. We got one tiny snow (1-2 inches), which almost immediately melted, and one dusting. We have gotten a lot more rain then snow. On a lot of the days (like today) you can walk out in shirt sleeves, though it gets below freezing at night. :? :? :?

Global warming is alive and well in southern Michigan, my friends. :?

PEI is great; ealier this year I was trying to get a tranfer to Cholottetown...but alas it fell through (oh well, now that I'm starting my sweet municipal job here in the new year...I don't mind)
Beside (since this thread is about winter) When it snows in PEI it shuts the Island down...the fairy service shuts down...and if it's windy enough, they close the bridge too.

BTW it snowed twice last week..but it's all gone now.
Oh and last I heard was that Londen's snow count was up to 100cm!!!

The snow is melting away pretty fast today, and with no wind it's getting pretty foggy out this afternoon.

Strange---The Weather Channel says it's 46 and clear here when it feels like 35 and we're almost covered by darkish-gray clouds that look like they might have some snow in 'em...

That is sort of odd, since we have no snow at all, and I am only about a two hour drive (not counting time spent waiting to cross the border) from London, Ontario. :?

I guess their storms must have passed to the east of us, just as that last big storm that got St. Louis and Chicago passed to the west of us.

Raining tonight. It supposed to rain for the next 2-3 days. :? No snow in the ten day forecast. Might be a green holiday where we can barbecue lunch out on the deck this year. :o
