I must have the Edge/Delhomme curse this year cause I went down the tubes. But the playoffs are the next two weeks (I did bearly squeak into the playoffs in my other league, thanks to Drew Brees). Here's how things stand before tonight's game, which doesn't make much of a difference-unless Bulger scores a bazillion points and Injured Receivers beat Russell the Reaper.

*1. Brinn 10-3-0
*2. The Old Lords 8-5-0
*3. BeerGuzzlers 8-5-0 .
4. Clovis Mammoths 6-6-1
5. The Reapers 6-6-1
Brinn just pounded last year's Champ kins (Mammoths) out of the playoffs with Tomlinson (he also has C. Johnson and TO, poor baby). Damelon (OLs) won 5 in a row but will fall to 3rd. I believe Brinn won the Championship two years ago. That's pretty much the motto in FF in general this year, draft LT, win it all.

So the berths will go like this:
1. Brinn vs 4. Reapers
2. BeerGuzzlers vs 3. The Old Lords

Well the fact that I have Driver, Chad Johnson, T.O. and Larry Fitzgerald also helped!

LT a guaranty?!?! Not true in auction leagues! I'm in an auction league and one of owners paid $14 of a $40 salary cap (draft 18 players minimum bid of $.10 for any player) for LT. He wasn't able to amass enough talent with his remaining dough to make a charge. That's why I love auctions, the beauty of the free market in action!

Don't count me out yet this week! The Old Lords might yet pull a rabbit out of a hat.

I'm down 13 points with Cedric Benson to play tonight. Considering that St. Louis' run defence stinks.... well you never know.

Hey...I still have a chance to get in there!

If Bulger gets 28 points tonight, the Reapers lose. Granted, it's against the Bears D, but at least it is a breath of hope.

Should I somehow beat Danlo tonight, and the Reapers lose, then I'm in.

Well I gotta have some ray of hope, huh?

T. Jones will snatch a bunch of those points away (and then Leviathan will crush me with the Chicago D), anyway I have a feeling you'll be playing BGs, regardless  (Damelon) You've got a weird balancing act going on Jel--Chicago's D must be ripped for Reapers to lose, but must also gain enough points to beat me...ouch!

It's for home field! :P

Benson's been getting more carries lately and has 5 TD on the year.

(don't remind me...yet another reason, along with Jay Cutler and Tatum's "turf-toe"...why my team hasn't played up to potential :( )

Uh oh...don't look now...

But I am IN!!!!!

Un-effen-believable!

I went into tonight needing to break the tie between me & Danlo, and I wound up with a 25 to 18 advantage this evening, all thanks to one special teams superstar named Devon Hester.

But I needed help.

I needed Bulger to get at least 27 points against the Bears D to beat the Reapers, and this from a team who has given up for the past several weeks, and hasn't even subbed out his injured players...knowing that every point that he (Bulger) gets takes away from my defense's point total.

Bulger gets 30 tonight and I sneak in the back door to the playoffs.

Un-effen-believable.

Like my hometown Saints, I am a team of destiny.

Excellent man! I didn't make it easy. (I went from 6th to 3rd place in my other league tonight! I was the first team in my very restricted TD oriented league to go over 100 pts winning 118 to 39!!!!!)

Yep! If Drew keeps throwing and Jackson shakes off his injury (which he did very well tonight) I could-go-all-the-way!!! Check this out: my opponent had C-town's D and that league doesn't count special teams TDs...8O

Believe me...I am hoping for the same from Jackson and Brees. It looks like I gotta play Brinn this week. I am going to need ALL of the help that I can get!

Well Brinn...it looks like me & you in the first round.

You got me 143 to 110 in our first meeting this season.

Let's see if (for my sake) history <does not> repeat itself once again.

Good luck (NOT)!

Break a leg (LT)!

LOl...Nice job sneaking in! That's really all it takes as any week can go either way. I wouldn't be surprised if you beat me as you are the second best team in the playoffs judging by points scored. Good luck....just not too much!

Interesting call, Brinn playing Hasselbeck against me 0tonight instead of Rivers Sunday.

Terrible weather could affect the passing game in Seattle tonight.

I can't believe in the most important game of the year, Brees and the Chicago D failed me in the end.

I had Brinn right where I wanted him, held to only 100 points. If I had been asked before hand, I would have counted that as a victory for the Leviathan.

But, alas...the fantasy football gods were not so inclined.

I have a 26 point loss to show in the first round of the playoffs for all of my efforts and roster moves throughout the season.

:?

Brinn...good luck the rest of the way...

I'll be back in 2007.
