A poem I wrote while was half asleep

Post by SothuTheUnfetterdOne. »

Snowpetals

Visions of you, illuminate my dreams,
something i can never see, in out color-drained reality.
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you me.
white shadows dance, we're going to a ball,
its' a candlelight trance, if you need me call.
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you, me.

snow-petals fall, on a serenaded wind,
you will be my valentine, till the end, baby,
nightmares turn mellow, as you sail on the serenaded wind,
on a snow petal pillow.

soft velvet strings, drape across bright angel wings,
remember all the pretty things, the pretty little things that sing,
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you, me.
come half the distance, and suddenly we'll be there,
there are lots of geese that lay golden eggs, but to find just one is rare.
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you, me.

snow petals fall, on a serenaded wind,
you will be my valentine, till the end, baby.
nightmares turn mellow, as you sail on a serendaded wind,
on a snow petal pillow.

the feathers falling from the trees,
the color of something that can never be seen,
the volume of something that can never be heard. don't say a word.
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you, me.
revive the glittering raindrop, that reminds me of a tear,
the only one you ever shed, the only one i ever hear,
go to sleep, then you'll see, love you, me.

snow petals fall, on a serenaded wind,
you will be my valentine, till the end, baby.
nightmares turn mellow, as you sail on a serendaded wind,
on a snow petal pillow.
I have learned a lot in the Modern Art of words.

Poetry is the Art of words, random is the modern art.

I like the alliteratoin, and the way that the words themselves repeat within the poem. I also like the dream-like quality of the poem itself.

Thanks for posting. . keep writing, and keep sharing it here! :D
