As a wise man once said, I am not in favor of a player who participates regularly and enthusiastically losing ground because of rl. And I'll help put something in the Book of Law that allows for such things.

My thanks Bhakti. *bows*

My moves are submitted. Apologies Xar for their slight lateness, but they are not complicated moves.

(Since we were told we might miss the week altogether, I missed the question about the short turn (which I fully support btw), and thus only recieved them this morning. I appreciate your making an allowance. I shall not make it a habit. ;) *bows*

It's allright. But I'd like to exploit the chance to specify something, which I believe I need to explain. Preparing a new turn requires quite some time on my part, which I usually do gladly because I'm enjoying the game. Now, if one misses a turn because of RL, and is unable to let me know in advance, it's allright (although I would expect that, if one realizes one'll miss the next turn too, he/she will write me to let me know). But if one unexplicably misses one turn every two, and does not explain why, I'll retire his/her character, because I don't want to spend 10 minutes working on his/her events if one isn't even going to read them or react to them.

Additionally, keep in mind that if one gets his/her character retired because of such a reason, I'll keep an eye on him/her if he/she ever decides to make another deity and join the game anew. If one forces me to retire the second character as well, I'll assume from then on that he/she is an undependable player, and I might ask him/her to abstain from making a third deity in the future.

This just demonstrates the need for an English gender-neutral pronoun that specifically refers to people. He/she, him/her, his/hers... Sheesh! I can't believe one never developed in all these millennia! I mean, it's not like we're the first generation that ever saw this.

Then again, maybe equality between the sexes is so new that it's ever been thought of as a problem of any sort. Beyond a few-several decades ago, women "knew their place," and men were all too happy about it. If John Lennon wrote Imagine 500 years ago, he never would have bothered changing a brotherhood of man to a brotherhood/sisterhood of man in a live performance. (And even he didn't go so far as to make it brotherhood/sisterhood of man/woman.)

But I digress...

Yes, Xar, that all sounds quite cool.

You know, this game has taken over my life. I spend nearly every waking moment thinking, pm-ing, and chatting about it. Not kidding, folks!

And still, some of you just amaze me! I turn in moves that say "X does blah blah." "2 DRP go to yadda yadda" while you folks write several detailed, very cool paragraphs to describe your actions! And then there's things like Murrin's story, just to "fill in" the gaps of Maeror. Just amazing. *clap clap clap*

I agree. I need to start thinking outside of the box. I also think about this game almost non-stop, especially since I am done with school now and I have only been thinking about simple moves and such.

I feel so behind the times, heh.

Yeah, being a god is addictive. I think Xar could make some serious cash turning it into a web-based text game like this or thousands of other ones. Of course, he'd have to hire on extra writers/meta-deities to handle the influx. I, for one, would volunteer my services.

My "simple" turn submission still ended up being a full screen of text. Eight paragraphs, only two of which could be considered short. If I spent as much time writing my novel as I did on Pantheon-related business...

Well, my Love, as soon as our Honeymoon is over, and we get out of bed (assuming I can stand), we'll get you caught up. :D

I once suffered a burnout due among other things to a net RPG, even though that was far simpler than Pantheon. I hope that doesn't happen again...

Same. No joke, one afternoon coming home from work, and indeed at work, I spent most of my time thinking about Nor Yekith. Trying to understand him/it, planning, and imagining Nor Pupae. But what I love is the wonderful ideas people come up and the interesting stories.

This is great roleplay.

And yet no one has seconded my nomination of Xar for Pantheon 1 and all Pantheon 2 related threads for best Hegomony thread for The 2006 Watchies...

It's fortunate that I still need to process Bhakti's turn... if you think he went through grief before, wait until you see what I come up with after hearing that

I had noticed Adomorn had not gotten a pm from days ago. No power explains it. And I don't have a problem with late moves for such a reason. He obviously had not been online all that time. I'm just making sure I'm not turning moves in early if I could be discussing things more first. Are moves due by 11pm GMT Saturdays?

Generally, yes. I'll send in the turn either later today or tomorrow at worst, but I think this will be a long turn, since next sunday and next monday are Christmas Eve and Christmas, respectively, so I doubt I'll have the time to process the turn. I think the best thing would be for me to send in the new turn, and then to set its deadline to the middle of next week.
