One of my concerns is the fact that Albequerque is the desert and we are talking about going in the summer so that means HOT and DUSTY and that spells allergies for me. I was there this past June and it was miserable weatherwise and I lived on claritin. I am not so opposed to Albequerque, I just would prefer if we have it there during a different time of year.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

Dear gods. I voted and now it's tied.
Honestly, I don't care whether we pick Albuquerque or San Francisco. I voted for ABQ because I have wanted, for years, to see the Georgia O'Keeffe museum in Santa Fe, and the last time I was in Santa Fe was on a Monday and the museum was closed. Arrgh. OTOH, I've *never* been to San Francisco.
It looks like the first weekend of June is now out, for me -- my daughter's GS troop is going to Cedar Point Amusement Park that weekend, and I have to go along because I'm the troop leader. (Reminds me of a poster I once saw: "There they go, and I must hurry to catch up, for I am their leader!") Any other date in June, however, remains peachy. But since SRD will be in Soonerville during the second weekend of June, maybe we're shooting for mid-June or later?
Duchess, if I could swing the Chicago Blues Festival, I would be there in a heartbeat! However, I would have to make sure to *not* tell any of my relatives I'm in town, or I'd never get away to hear the music....

Sure! Set up one and I'll "sticky" it!Wyldewode wrote:Umm. . . we could always get together in small groups locally, though SRD won't be able to come. Sunbane, you're in Tennessee, correct? Hmm. . . maybe this ought to be a separate thread. What say, Creator? Regional meetings deserve a separate thread?
