365 Days of Trek

Post by Waddley »

A friend of mine is crazy. I'd like to quote for you how crazy he is:
Year of Hell, pt 1

Beginning on January 1st, 2007, I will begin watching every episode of every series of Star Trek at a rate of two episodes per day, in chronological order by stardate. I will be posting reviews of each episode, along with some fun facts about the series. This will likely mark the end of my social and sex life as I know it, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, sort of like the time Kirk had to let Edith Keeler die to restore the proper timeline, but even more difficult.
Stay tuned to this myspace page on January 1st, where I will be reviewing the series premiere of Enterprise, Broken Bow. Live long and prosper!

Some statistics:
726 episodes, including The Original Series, The Animated Series, Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager. 10 movies.
Total run time: 33,570 minutes
OR 559.5 hours
OR 23.3 days
= 1.989 episodes (or one movie) per day for one year.
He now has a website for the reviews. 365 Days of Trek.com. There's just gibberish on the main page for now, because he just put it up and doesn't really know what to say.

Anyway... enjoy!

Well I gotta admit. The project is off to a good start. The reviewer is articulate and witty. He holds many of the same views on the subject that I do which is great. I prefer to read someone that basicly echoes my own thoughts. I will continue to read as new reviews appear. I just wonder if the reviewer has the intestinal fortitude to finish what he has started. I for one hope so.

aTOMiC- I wish I could say for sure that he can stick with it. But I think he can (which is sad because I'll pretty much never see him again...) but... we'll see.

(I can't wait until he gets to the animated series. I think it will drive him insane, just because of how bad it is...)

Usivius- I hope you enjoy :)

The same could be said for Enterprise, my dear.

Fair enough, but it gives him plenty of fodder for the reviews :)

I like this guy's writing style and his sense of humor, but I can't stand Enterprise! So will someone let me know when he's blogging on a REAL Star Trek series?

There is now a website for the reviews. First post updated to reflect that.
