Pavement?

Post by Lord Mhoram »

Anybody like this indie and alt-rock band from the 90s? They are a tad obscure, certainly less-known than other 90s alternative bands, and everyone I talk to has never heard of them! I have their album Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and it is EXCELLENT. Their best known album, I think, is Slanted and Enchanted. Anyone else like them?

I've listened to them, I know, but nothing really sticks out in my mind.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I've heard the name, but that's all I can say. Might see if I can download a couple of songs.

I flippin' love pavement, although I thought their last album blew. I'm not sure which my favorite is (I don't have the 3d one, cuz I've read it sucks, too). Probably Slanted, though.
Roach trotted over to sniff at the gleaming phlegm, then licked it up.
