I thought Orlando Bloom was hot as Legolas (and I still prefer the blonde look on him), but this just may convince me that he should keep his natural dark looks...

Hmm, cunning observation.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Pirate
Chow Yun Fat has gained a bit of weight....

:Edit: That last bit was meant as a joke. Chow Yun Fat really IS doing the movie!? 8O

I've enjoyed the first two films very much. I realize that P2 was lacking in substance and was a bit overwrought with somewhat meaningless action but I'm not ashamed to say I liked the film none the less. The second act of a 3 part story can sometimes seem a bit weak. Back to the Future II and Matrix Reloaded come to mind. I can't imagine disliking the final installment. Perhaps I won't be blown through the back wall of the theater but I'm confident I'll like whatever they have in mind.

not ALL second acts are weak - Empire Strikes Back was the best of the first trilogy in my mind. Aliens was good too (not as good as the original, but way better than 3 & 4) as was Terminator 2. So your theory isn't watertight LFB!

The 2nd Star Trek movie was the best one made, periood.

Well I did say "can sometimes seem a bit weak". Your examples are ones I always hold up as strong sequels. I agree completely. :-)

A picture of the you-know-who appearing as you-know-who's you-know-what has surfaced. Click here. Be warned, this link is not as spoiler-free as this post is. On the other hand, it's just a picture.

Not really a spoiler, WF - I knew about that eons ago...
Spoiler
it was probably a given since the first Pirates film when Johnny Depp modeled Jack Sparrow on Richards in the first place. Bruckheimer probably went "Kaching!" & asked Keith to do a cameo!

Ok, ok, I can't believe this thread was started without me!!!

I have had this picture in my sig for about a month.

My sister went to the premiere at Disneyland last year and got to see all the stars. She called me when Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom were three feet away from her.

I was thinking of hitting Disneyland this year when they have the premier. It would be a lot of fun.

Looks damn good, at least we know who the chinese bloke is aswell.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Is POTC a trilogy? or are there myriads more to come? I like that thought.

Oh no, don't let it become another James Bond, with Pirates 17 appearing in 2032, after going through four different actors as Captain Jack.

 never happen! Johnny Depp IS Jack Sparrow...nobody could fill his (pirate) boots EVER!!

And Orlando? Hell, he's just too gorgeous to replace!! Unless they get HIM to play James Bond in another 10-15 years time???? ;)

Could have said the same of Sean Connery as Bond, but then we got *shudder* Roger Moore. So Johnny Depp will be replaced by...Macaulay Culkin?

Orlando Bloom is far too much of a mincing pansy to be James Bond.

Exactly. The day he plays Bond will be the day the world ends.
