Also, I have misplaced my notes (//not really, but with the haitus I'd like to know for sure//) for other commissions and favors. Although I think I remember who needed what, it would be good to make sure I have it right. Speak with me privately to make sure your order is still being prepared.

Brothers and Sisters, I apologize that it took me so long to relay this information to you. I'd say that I've been a busy girl, but that would be a lie. I just forgot.

Quite a while ago, I got this message:
People exploring the mountains southwest of your realm return talking of strange phenomena taking place there... echoes of thunder where no storm is present, snow melting in an unnatural heat, reddish fires dancing on naked stone, whispers echoing when no one is there, avalanches for no reason whatsoever
I investigated, and....
It appears that the strange phenomena which are manifesting on the mountains are caused by a quick unraveling of reality's fabric somewhere in a secluded valley; it's as if something were pressing from the other side, creating a "bulge" in reality which causes the threads to threaten to burst. Some sort of divine power is intertwined with the fabric of reality, but it is impossible to say who poured it there and whether it is keeping reality together or helping to unravel it.
I will do what I can to solve this. I will not ask for aid until I know that I can not do it on my own, but if you would like to send a point or two my way next turn out of the kindness of your heart, I would not turn it down. (That wasn't asking for aid, was it? Because I didn't mean to do that...)

I hope all else is well for the rest of you.

Yours,
Chisi

Several of you have asked me about the abomination in Shakari. I appreciate your concern. It is, truly, an extremely big problem. It towers over my Trees, and has killed some of my most powerful followers. But I have something in mind, and I hope to be rid of this thing immediately. I will give you more details very soon. Keep your eyes open! :D

Brothers and Sisters,

Although I have taken up a couple charitable causes, please do not think my smithy runs on good will alone. I am not strict or miserly, but payment is required* (and payment does not consist of only the DRP required for an object's creation). Do not count on your order until it is filled and payment or at least an agreement is made. I will not be held responsible.

*For DRP-consuming events only. Anything else is considered a favor unless otherwise stated.

And now the continuation...
The disturbance on the mountains seems to be caused by nothing else than something attempting to enter the world of Eiran from another dimension; the fabric of reality, which seems to be held together by the strands of divine energy, is slowly being unraveled as the force - whatever it is - tries to get into Eiran. It also appears that the divine energy keeping reality together is, for the most part, ancient, and probably placed there by the gods of old. Disquietingly enough, when trying to ascertain what kind of gods might have done so, you feel that the strongest influence is "retribution".
Shortly after you focused your attention on this "bulge", a group of adventurers traveling through the mountains, and chased by a horde of undead, happen upon one of the spots where reality is thinner. While most of them prepare for a last stand, a wizard among them perceives the strange phenomenon, and makes the mistake of believing it a possible source of power rather than a danger. As the undead approach, the wizard draws deeply on this "power" in order to fuel his magic and give his allies a chance; seduced by the ease with which this can be done, he hurls his magic against the undead again and again, gradually paying less and less attention to any damage he might be causing to his allies. As he draws on this "power", the bulge suddenly grows larger and larger, until at some point the fraying fabric of reality gives way. The wizard is overloaded with magical, divine and alien energies, and he explodes, leveling a large area around him and destroying the various undead, but the explosion also sears reality, allowing a portal to open, through which strange, alien creatures start pouring into Eiran. Their alien nature is so evident that wherever their bodies touch stone or vegetation, these are warped and twisted into alien mockeries of their former selves. Although small in number, these creatures keep coming, and somehow they are masking the presence of their gate from the other gods; even your sight is clouded, although the divine power you poured into observing the bulge allows you to see what the other gods cannot.
I'd be up for suggestions on solving this problem, other than just throwing my Houka at these creatures. I don't know how to seal holes in the fabric of reality. I'm no seamstress... Norn??.....

The City of Regret was founded in the early years of my reign by the Order of the same name, who had chosen for themselves the task of seeing that restless spirits find their way into the afterlife. From the City they went into the world, searching for ghosts and souls that wandered Eiran, and helping them find peace. They had begun to establish a colony on the nearby islands, which they named Grief.
Now, see what Undine has brought upon these followers of mine.
Mist rises from the sea around the City of Regret and Grief, and through that mist your divine sight cannot discern what is happening. But the cries of death and battle, the sounding of horns and the sudden stream of souls reaching your realm from the City of Regret scream for your attention; it is from these unfortunate souls - almost the entire population of the City of Regret - that you learn of Undine's treachery: he has sent an army to attack your City, hidden it within the fog, inspired fear into the hearts of your people, and attacked from the sea with drakes and his navy, performing atrocities... ...dismembering your greatest followers there, or hanging them from gibbets, until the city was his and no worshiper of yours - man, woman or child - was left alive.

The Order of Regret may have been founded for a benign purpose. However their purpose now seems far from benign. By your own admission, a ship of their order sailed north into the mists that surround Eiran. You gave us no reason for this, but the results have been extremely disturbing. The fact that you asked about what surrounded Eiran earlier hinted that you had ordered this. The information I received at the time made it clear that this ship was dispatched on your orders.
A ship sails from the City of Regret, heading north, towards the mists that encircle the world. After months of navigation, upon first seeing the dreaded mists, the sailors begin to pray Maeror for deliverance, fearing that only death may await them beyond the mists. Yet they have a duty to perform, and none wishes to disappoint their god. So onward they sail, until the writhing, cold tendrils of the world-encircling mists stroke the ship's wooden hull like the fingers of a long-dead lover, and shapes unlike any the sailors have ever seen seem to form and dissipate in the grayness beyond. Faintly, it seems to them as if screams could be heard, blood-curdling and horrified beyond comprehension; the sailors' fright grows, but still they continue, knowing without a doubt, now, that they cannot turn back anymore. The sailors whisper a last prayer to Maeror... and then disappear from your sight, swallowed by the mists.
This then led to:
You suddenly realize a strange disturbance at the edges of the world - the endless mists are boiling and rolling furiously, as if wrathful or in pain. The very water of the oceans, when coming into contact with them, sizzles and writhes, and strange shapes appear from time to time as shadows behind the mists
What have you done?

As for the atrocities committed, those descriptions sound remarkably similar to what happened my followers in Porsulis after you took that island over. Perhaps my followers were exacting their own revenge for that incident? Or for the fact that you devoured the souls of their brethren , or sent them screaming into a rift to ?where?

PLEASE do not play the innocent here, Maeror. I am not, and have never claimed to be, whiter than white in my actions. But those actions are squeaky clean beside some of your foul deeds.

Bhakti my brother! Be of good courage, for I shall not allow you to pass from this world. You must not give up hope, for the sake of your wife and your newborn son.

A question Undine - has the All-Father confirmed the the actions of the Order of Regret caused, inadvertently or not, the disturbance at the edges of Eiran?

My thanks, Norn.

I have received an outpouring of Love, from several sources, that can accomplish anything. With friends such as all of you, Love will never be defeated!

I have also learned that the "betrayal" was nothing of the sort. My Power is returned to me, and my strength returns. Victory is mine!

Maeror, I back Undine in whatever decisions he makes, including, but not limited to, helping me fight against you.

I only wish I had know of the Outer Rim incidents earlier.

If I survive my battle, I will likely push for some kind of strengthening of the fabric or reality. The pantheon of my father did such a thing, as Chisi has seen evidence of:
It also appears that the divine energy keeping reality together is, for the most part, ancient, and probably placed there by the gods of old.
Perhaps we could all give Norn some DRP's to Weave it stronger?

Events have taken a delightfully unexpected turn.
"Oh of course," the Navigator said with faint mocking in his voice, "you have probably heard of House Praetus. We have a palace on Holy Terra. Like all powerful groups, we also have our enemies. Do you honestly think someone like you matters?" - A dissolute noble.

Adomorn and Undine. You are both friends of mine. We have had nothing but good relations from the beginning, and I wish that to continue.

However, I believe you both err in your wars against Maeror. I do not contradict that Maeror has acted very badly. Both intentionally, and in the way our followers often take things much farther than we would want. But has Maeror not shown sign of change? Is there no possibility that They are more for the good that both of you desire than They were?

I believe there are MUCH more important issues on our plates at the moment. What happens when this Abomination destroys me? Who is next? What happens when the fabric of reality that Chisi found is torn asunder? What will pour out of it, and who will be its target?

Adomorn, I believe you should now let bygones be bygones. You are not in much of a position to fight. If Maeror will drop matters, will you?

Undine, can your business be concluded, now that you are "even"?

Does the Allfather tell you one plus one equals two?

We garner the meaning we can from his words. However, the mists at the edge of the world have only been mentioned in two consecutive events. Both are quoted above, in the first Maeror sends a ship into the mists, in the second a seriously ominous disturbance occurs, as described. What would you deduce from that?

I would deduce nothing. I strongly recommend waiting until I have more information on this before jumping to any conclusions. You alerted me to the mists, Undine. I am exploring it now. Nothing that I've discovered so far leads me to believe that Maeror has had anything to do with the mists but the unfortunate demise of his explorers.

I deduce nothing from that my brother.

During my time as a mortal when the old gods frequently warred against each other, it was not uncommon for a deity to use their power to both act and hide the source of those actions. Without proof as to the source of the mists, your accusations against Maeror, not to mention the slaughter of the Order of Regret, appear to be little more than the continuation of a feud.

As for the tear in the fabric of reality, I attempted to strengthen the fabric last season, but I obviously did not prevail. I will be putting forth my power to weave the fabric anew in Chisi La'Roo's lands and close the portal that has opened. Any of my brethren that wish to aid me are welcome to do so.

Perhaps Simjen could aid in creating something that could hold reality together? Infused with your power, Norn, it could be great. I would put all my power into it as well.

Perhaps a physical representation of Norn's magic would be strong enough to hold it.
