The same woman keeps sitting next to me on the train every morning for the past two weeks. Even when there are other seats available and my bag is on the seat next to me, she sits next to me. I think I have an admirer. The interesting thing is she's a bit older than me, very attractive and has tattoos. A wild one!

Or at the very least smile at her and say good morning! Sheesh!

Go for it Lore! What have you got to loose?
Me...well...yeah guys... I fell off the wagon and I've had several cigarettes tonight and so I'm now sitting here kicking myself [and swigging a beer and contemplating going outside to have another cigarette].
So I'll have to start all over again tomorrow with the giving up thing.... Gosh I disappoint myself sometimes!!!!

CJr good news about Uni!!
Wadds, I expect you could get $75.00 for the table and chairs.
Wylde, beautiful photos, hopefully your new life starts sooner rather than later.
I'm rather sleepy, I FINALLY have access to a gym and I worked out this morning. The first time I've been able to do a proper leg workout in months....now I need a nap.

When I quite, my method was to just affirm that I was not trying to quit, I had quit. When I told people I was trying to quit, I was admitting the possibility of failure, and giving myself permission to go back to it. Its a mind thing really, but it worked for me.
YOU GUYS CAN DO THIS THING!!!

Becoming Elijah has been released from Calderwood Books!

Everyone is entitled to fall off the wagon on occasion, Sea. You just gotta hang on tighter so you don't bounce off too often!
(and we're all here to help you hang on!)
Choose your uni well, Cjr...hope they offer the courses you want! (mine screwed me over in my third year - because I was studying part time, they changed the whole focus of my degree and ruined it for me!)
Lore...don't just SIT there, man...SAY something!
Wadds - eBay auction?
dAN - be sure to practice the autoCAD a lot...use it as an excuse to do that other than REAL work...*snort* That's how I learned to Photoshop so well. In WORK TIME.
Me...I'm very happy - I have booked my tickets to Melbourne (after a scary moment thinking I wasn't on the 'touring list' for the concerts!!) And I will be staying at the Travelodge Southbank. Will give y'all more deets for the Aussie Elohimfest when I've confirmed the accommodation...

Uhh, Autocad IS my real work. In fact, it's been my real work for something like 15 years now. Fortunately, the training wasn't like the other times I had 'training', where they were teaching the most rudimentary skills. This time they knew the pupils were experienced, and only hit on things outside of the obvious; I actually learned stuff.Elfgirl wrote:dAN - be sure to practice the autoCAD a lot...use it as an excuse to do that other than REAL work...*snort*

So it wasn't a total loss then dAN. I am still perusing for apartments. I need to find one that I can start moving into in March. Sigh. Moving is never fun.

Yes it is, Jenn! Moving is a blast! I'm doing it this weekend, and I couldn't possibly be more excited.
Yay for moving!! This will be my... technically... 18th move ever, I believe. If I'm counting correctly. Yay for chaos!!
(Think of all the great new things you'll get to buy! Think of all the decorating you get to do!! Think of all the hot new guys you can potentially meet!)
(I think i'm going to just donate the table. I listed it and no one seems interested, and I don't blame them. No worries!

Feeling pretty stupid right now. The grade I got in Chem101 might not be enough to let me into the graduate program I want. If I have to take that damned class a third time, I think I'm going to kill somebody. Amazing how a slow-brewing, two-year-long emotional collapse can cripple your career for life.

Well...back on the non-smoking wagon (thanks for all your support guys!) but, yeah, I'm a bit emotional...
Oh yeah, Elfy, I did have patches but had been off them for about 5 days before I caved and and a cigg. You're supposed to use them for 3 months but I just used them for 20 days. Think I obviously need them for a bit longer!!
Oh, good luck Alynna!

Covjr--yay! It's wonderful to have a lot of options to choose from! Congratulations!
Lore--By all means, strike up a conversation with the lady--she seems to be going out of her way to get your attention! At the worst you have a boring conversation, and at the best, you might find adventure!
Good luck!
Alynna--Hope everything works out okay for you.
Sea--you can do absolutely ANYTHING you put your mind to, so if you decide that you WILL quit, then you will. But you have to first believe that you can do it. We all believe in you!
As for me, my best friend and her fiance are looking at a house to rent this Saturday. It looks great from the outside and the price is right, so if they are satisfied, I expect her to move as soon as humanly possible. I'm feeling good about that, but also a bit nervous, as I haven't even so much as looked at my resume in 2 years, and I have no savings to speak of, so I really can't afford to quit my job until I have something else lined up. And I don't relish the thought of commuting 30 miles each way to work. I really don't make enough money to justify that.
Soo. . . time to get cracking, hmmm?
