It was never likely that we would get agreement about anything from all. If this doesn't do it, I can't imagine what will.

I would not yet say that we will never reach agreement brother Simjen. I have offered Melirelle a way to seal the rift while protecting against the dangers she sees - at least let us wait for her to respond. If she is content with my offer then the only voice of dissent would be silenced.

But still, so many of our siblings are quiet. If we must have a unanimous vote, agreement is not the only issue.

A smaller increase in power I would have less of a problem with, if others wished to choose it. If not, I am also amenable to the other methods so far proposed; though I wonder if sealing the world completely might cut away my realm?

I hadn't actually thought of that. My apologies.

Sealing the world completely might cut off all our realms. Lest we forget, we do not actuallyl dwell on Eiran. Some might argue that that is exactly what Eiran needs, but I am not ready to go so far. *smiles*

If we cannot agree on a course of action then perhaps we should not proceed.

Then perhaps we pool our deific power into at least destroying the abomination that threatens Bhakti? Given Melirelle's concerns I will not lend my power to any venture that threatens her interests or followers.

I would very much appreciate your staying out of this entirely. Even if your offer is nothing more than it appears at face value, I believe the likelihood of your Power not reacting badly with mine is slim. As always, I do not want your Power near me, my son, my Wife, or my lands. (Although, of course, Jove is free to allow you to act in conjunction with her or in her lands if she wishes.) I believe the situation is under control, even without the wish.

Of course, if the wish did go to eradicating the Abomination, that would be fine with me. :D But that would require no deity objecting to it.

So we have a least one deity objecting to using the Wish to close the rift in the Fabric of Reality, and at least one objecting to using the Wish to increase all of our powers by seven to enable to respond to surrent events as we see fit.

Does anyone object to using the Wish to destroy the abomination that threatens our brother Bhakti?

My previous expenditure of power on the child was not detrimental - at least from my perspective. I do believe your son will grow up to be nice and healthy. However, technically he has a second father now.

I have been too busy to check into whether or not you were attempting anything, and did not know you had done anything.

Well then, that is that.

Hedra Iren and Simjen are both right.

I will certainly agree to using the wish to destroy the abomination. Anything strong enough to literally and pyshically threaten the gods is not something we really want wandering around, is it?

As for the fears of sealing off the world, some valid points raised I think. Still, I would have thought that things like the realm of the dead are still part of reality, which is what we wanted to strengthen. But perhaps it will be safer not to make that attempt, as well as not being detrimental to Merilelle.

(Where are the rest of us bretheren? Where is Tsaloga? Where is Adamorn and Chisi and Argothoth?)

Anyway, as I said, I will support any destroying the abomination.

Do those who disagreed with the other options support this third option?

If this is what the rest of the Pantheon wants, I will grudgingly agree as well.

However, I would prefer Simjen's original idea of increasing everyone's DRP for one turn. That way some of us could focus on the "abomination" and others could focus on, oh... I don't know... preventing reality from being torn asunder???

But hey, that's just me. And like I said, if the rest of the pantheon thinks I'm wrong, then I probably am and I will be fine with that.

Brothers and sisters, I have been reluctant to step in as I am still a new and relatively weak deity and feel myself threatened by the precedent of godslaying. Therefore I have concentrated on increasing my worship for the moment, and indeed I can scarcely do anything else in order to keep my children safe to the best of my ability.

That said, I would support the idea of increasing our DRPs. This simple proposal has the potential of solving all of our most pressing problems. Even I could be of use, as I would not have to spend all of my effort into proselytizing for my life. For example, I do think the abomination can be hunted and killed like a more mundane monster given sufficient power and expertise. I pledge 6 DRP into that on the condition that the plan to raise everyone's DRP by 7 succeeds.

To Nor Yekith my brother, I know you are Malice, but you are also Mutation. Surely there can be an outlet for your talents for this single turn that does not harm fellow deities. If nothing else convinces you, let me remind you that your brothers and sisters are not the only targets of Malice in existence... There are also the mortals, although I would prefer non-Malicious Mutation or Malice against rocks...
