You should take up running. It's very cathartic.
Well I got myself a new day
And I got myself a second chance
So I headed to the bus stop
And the sun, the sun was warm on my back
Today I ran for miles
Just to see what I was made of
Today I ran for all that was mine
Well I got myself a song inside
And I got myself some full blown daylight
Wanna tell you just how hard it's been
Trying to talk myself out of jumping
Today I ran for miles
Just to see what I was made of
Today I ran for all that was mine

It's Saturday evening so I am feeling exceptionally thirsty!
Working my way along the Southern Hemisphere at the moment, with a glass of New Zealand 'Montes' followed by a bottle of South African 'Savanna' cider. All the faves tonight! Upside down plants make the best booze!

I just got back from Uwajimaya, the Japanese market in Seattle, and had a GREAT time in Chian Town. It was awsome!
My friends and I spent awhile just hanging in the market and watching people there are a lot of really interesting people out there if you just stop to watch!
We crossed the street to a tea shop we wanted to see and the coolest thing happened! We went in and looked around for awhile, then as we were about to leave, the porpriter invited us to sit down at this table in the back corner. He had a tea sampling set up! There was a guy there who is a regular and we just sat and talked about philosophy and religion and everything in-between while drinking different kinds of tea the woman prepared and told us all about! It was great!
We had some lunch that I can't pronounce and went home.
An awsome day.

It was a fun night. I went to a party at a friend's house where we had a good dinner and some laughs. Later we played Ship, Captain and Crew. I came out ahead of that.

Do you want to plagiarise my 'Mr Darcy logs on to Kevinswatch' short story?CovenantJr wrote:Yes. It's a module of the course. 'Text Transformation'. The Pride and Prejudice thing is a practice run; for the actual assignment, I have to take a literary text of my choice and change its genre and audience.
It's more fun than studying 'The Color Purple', at least.

Sorry, Cov! Damn those infernal machines!
Yesterday we had my best friend's "personal shower"--the kind of bridal shower where you buy the bride lingerie and/or racy things like undies and bedroom "acessories." Some of her friends from work organized this shower, and since I am the maid of honor I was expected to come (I wanted to anyway). The girls told us to wait at her house, and they would come and pick us up. Well. . . they arrived in a white stretch limo! So we were driven around town in the back of a limo drinking pink champagne before being dropped off for the party. It was pretty cool. Then we had great time at the party, and when the party was over the limo came back and took us home. So fun times there!
Now for something entirely different. . .
How do I feel today? Well, lets say that I know exactly what Murrin was feeling earlier. I'm totally overwhelmed by the things I have to do--packing, moving, finding a new job, wrapping things up at my current job (eventually!), planning a bridal shower, getting everything ready for my part in the wedding. Add to that the huge increase in expenses I will have by moving to a larger city, and I'm stressed out beyond words. I alternate between wanting to hide in bed, and wanting to do something destructive--getting drunk off my ass and staying that way comes to mind!
I hate feeling this way. I wish that things would sort themselves out soon.
