I've been having dreams about all my friends I haven't seen in a long time.

I had an absolutely horrid dream the other night about going to a dinner party with everyone I knew, ever. And I was looking for something to wear, and I had access to these huge closets full of beautiful clothes.......but they were all too small. Everything I tried on looked like it had been stuffed with.....stuffing. :( Time to hit the gym....

I dreamt that a friend of mine had died in a car crash... I woke up absolutely convinced that said friend was dead and I was worrying because I didn't know when the funeral was to be. It took me almost half an hour to realize that it was just a dream and that she was alive and well. I was absolutely sure that it was true... Brrr... nasty!

I had a dream that I was stranded in London and was trying to buy a cup of tea from a Spanish man in the back of a van. He just kept giving me cups of hot water and speaking to me in Spanish. Very frustrating. Eventually I heard him speaking to someone else in perfect English - he was just pretending, in order to annoy me. Gah!

Then a friend of mine turned up and drove away in my car (an impressive feat, considering he has no use of his legs) and I was forced to drive the tea van, which was in fact shaped like two humanoid robots standing back to back.

Hmm.

Last night's dreams:

1) I got a taxi in Nottingham, to take me about half a mile across the city. It cost me £20 - a ridiculous sum for so short a journey.

2) My friend asked me to give a presentation at the new Byross Building that was constructed in Sheffield in honour of his band, The Byross (in reality, The Byross consists of my friend and one other bloke, and they've never played live). I bumped into someone I haven't seen or heard from in nearly eight years, and she told me the presentation was scheduled to begin in less than an hour. I had no idea what subject to give it on.

Last night I had a dream that I went to Australia and met Loremaster. He was very, very tall. I was only there for ten minutes or so. (Who takes a trip from the UK to Autralia for ten minutes?)

On my way home, I was riding some kind of motorised tricycle. It had a motor, but I could improve the acceleration by pedalling as hard as I could. I found I was racing an enormous pick-up along a major road, and though I was generally faster, I kept having to stop pedalling, which gave the truck a chance to overtake me. The truck was black and the back of it was full of poo, in little ball-like clumps. Oh, and the truck was driven by Al Jourgensen of industrial metal band Ministry.

After racing for a while, the race reset. This kind of 're-living' happens quite a lot in my dreams. So we began racing again, with me adjusting my tactics in accordance with what I'd learned from the first race. At one point, though, I was behind the Ministry truck, and couldn't pull out to overtake because there was loads of traffic. At that point, Al Jourgensen remotely opened the rear flap of the truck and dumped all the poo on me. Fortunately, it all missed, except one blob that bounced across my head.

I just dreamt I was offered a place to study astrophysics with a prestigious professor. When I got to his office I noted he had Lord Foul's Bane. So we spent some time talking about Barlowe's Guide to Fantasy . . .

Last night:

My college was run by some kind of dubious mad scientist type of professor. The students were becoming more and more unruly, and several of them attacked me in the street. I fought them and managed to drive them off, but I then had to flee as society was falling into anarchy around me. I fled to the coast, where I encountered the mad professor from the college, who had also escaped. We lived in a glass house behind a large sand dune that served to keep us hidden from the rest of the world. We then watched cat-like creatures swimming around, and there was something vitally important about this.

I wonder if it was the same professor in my dream?

If so, I must have caught him on a bad day, since my professor was moderately unhinged. 8O

I dreamnt one of those dreams you don't remember the specifics of, but just the horrible nightmarish feeling left behind. Not pleasant.
